The bursting fresh cold breeze hits my face like small soft punches. The blazing sun rays shinning into my eyes to the point they tear up. I slowly sit up from the old oak public bench,I can smell Joe's bakery from here. The warm sweet golden smell surrounds me, I stand up. I'm at the counter of Whitney and Charles, I can hear the traffic roaring behind me. The honking of inpatient drivers, and the screeching tires forms someone hitting there breaks avoiding a terrible accident. I haven't eaten in days, so I head west. The busy street of Manhattan are filled with gossip and the building tension of everyone trying to get to work on time, so loud it seems if the city never sleeps, or it just never shuts up. As I walk up the sidewalk of crowded people, I have a sudden sense as if someone's behind me. I turn around to see only angry people telling me to get put the way, no one else. I get to the free food drive building, I walk slowly through the crisp clean glass double doors in front of the building. The first face I see is little old Jenn, a caring old lady with crystal blue eyes. She always has a smile upon her face, and cheer up anyone's mood. I've known her since I was a young little girl, she raised me the best she could. She's the only family I have these days, I could see her businesses wasn't getting as much people there were only two other people here. She handed me a small bowl of chicken noodle soup, she look at me "Anicen! My dear how are you doing? I don't see you as much anymore, we miss you!" She's says bowing her head. "I miss you..." she finishes, I say "Im sorry haven't been around much Jenn" I say. She looks up at me and smiles, "Anicen don't be silly, you never have to be sorry for living you're life!" She said. We both laugh as we eat together. The warm chicken soup was sweet, and it had delicious spices to it. "Sweety, can you do me a favor? Can you go to joes and pick up my order of Italian bread for me?" Jenn said. I smile at her,"sure of course" I reply, I clean up the food plates and walk out. I walk back out the double doors I recently came through, and walk back down the sidewalk. The sidewalk was so quiet, not normally quiet nobody was making noise, not the irritated drivers, or the angry people trying to get to work on time. Even the air itself appeared dead, it felt unsettling to me so I started to hurry. The more I walked, the more I realised everything was changing. Now nobody was on the streets, it was if everything was frozen in time except me. When all of a sudden a humongous sudden fierce wind blew up from behind me. Everything was back to normal, I run into Joe's bakery, "d-did y-you see that!?" I say to him. He looked at me with a blank expression, he took his tooth pick out of his mouth"what are you talking about freak" he says to me. "What do you want!?" He says aggressively, Joe had a small brick business, he sells all kinds of baked goods. "Jenna order that's it." He rolled his eyes at me an handed me the bread. "Now get lost freak" he yelled as I was leaving. What was that? I thought to myself, still seeing the images run through my head. What could of it have been? I also think to myself. I hate how he is always so rude to me, just because I'm a little different than him doesn't give him the right to call me a freak, I say to myself. I he'd back to Jenn's, the sidewalk was a light grey color. And the grass next to it was greenish grey. Building are everywhere, on every corner, on every street. I bet no one even knows what a patch of woods really looks like anymore. The air isn't as fresh as you would find in a forest, it smells of traffic, exhaust fumes, and carbon dioxide. As I carefully carry the plastic bag with Jenn's bread, I open the door to her building. I place it on the black marble counter top, "Jenn I'm back!" I yell. She comes over brightly filled with joy, her business is white on the inside with a few windows. The floor is white and mint green tile, and she HSA a few tables here and there."thank you so much dear" she says to me as she gives me a huge bear hug. I smile "or welcome Jenn" I say, I go he'd out the door to go. When all of a sudden it was as if we were frozen in time again nobody was moving except me. A loud high pitch noise appeared, and a harsh strong wing blowing at me in all directions. The room around me soon gets darker and darker, then I'm out.
