Chapter One: We've Found Them

"Do you have it?" said Stormheart to Darkflame. He nodded. "Good, lets go." As they walked in, yelps and whimpers came from the den. "Aww.... Poor things, they seem scared out of their minds...." Darkflame got some paper out and wrote, "It's understandable why they are, we just walked in their den." Stormheart sighed and they tried to find the wolves.

"Wait... Listen...." Stormheart said softly. Darkflame nodded and listened. Small yelps of what sounded like pain could be heard. "Aww.... I think one is hurt...." She looked at Darkflame. "Sadly, yes, one of them is hurt. I think it's an Alpha!" he wrote. "Wait, what?!" Stormheart started to run but Darkflame grabbed her hand. "Wait, we'll find it." he wrote. She looked deeper into the den, sighed, and said softly, "F.... Fine...." They followed the sound of yelps.

The yelps got louder and soon, they sounded like three was there instead of one; one scared, one in pain, and one protecting something, most likely it's alpha. "Do you hear that? I hear more yelps/whimpers." Darkflame wrote. "You do?!" asked Stormheart. He nodded, making a "mhm" sound, then made a sign that means to follow. A spark of joy lit in her. "Please, lead me to them!" He nods again and they go deeper.

One of the wolves came running at us. "Grrr...." said the wolf. "Hey... It's okay.... Do you like the name Midnight?" Stormheart said to the wolf. "Aro? Howl~~~!!!" Midnight said. "Looks like she likes it." wrote Darkflame. Midnight's tail wagged a lot. She was happy. But that faded as she looked at what seemed to be her alpha. "Is that your alpha?" Her ears flickered and she rubbed up on him. He whimpered so she thought he's in pain. "I think he's in pain. I mean, look at him, he's whimpering and wincing a lot. " wrote Darkflame. "I know.... Pick him and the smallest one up and I have Midnight." He nodded and picks them up, then they walk out of the den."
