"Tag-Along Friend..." Ciel x Lizzy

"Stray..."

When she saw me she immediately got up and tackled me into a hug. I didn't really like that. But her smile never faded, regardless of that, there was work still to be done...I told her that I had to go and she looked sad all of a sudden.

I knew I shouldn't have, but I asked her what was wrong. She told me that she was lonely...and looking for someone to play with. I sighed. Even if a part if me wanted to, I couldn't help her anyway...

So I picked up her flowers for her and gave them to her. She had smiled brightly after that while I continued to remain emotionless.

A minute later I started to walk away so I could continue my work in the study. She then put a hand on my shoulder, making me stop. She was blushing, asking when we'll see each other again.

The wind picked up as I looked at her from the corner of my eye. She looked at me a bit hesitant, and asked me my name. I simply replied the usual when I'm asked. I told her Ciel Phantomhive...she beamed excitedly at me, telling me that her name was Lizzy.

If I could ever smile again I would have right then and there, seeing her smile like that.

And with that, no other words word said...or any answers given...

--- 1 hour later in the study ---

"Young master, would you like to try these pineapple delicacy?"

I asked him what it was again as I simply was just too tired to listen...and bored too...

He looked at me smiling " A cheese cake my lord, topped with a pineapple cherry sauce, and the freshest strawberries from the market..."

For some reason that just is way over my head, I never cared for strawberries actually. They seemed to kinda, weigh the flavor down.

I told him that I didn't care for strawberries that much and he quickly understood. He took my tray of food and brought back a tray of that cheesecake he mentioned, but instead of strawberries, he put cherries instead.

Oddly enough, I love cherries.

When I was done eating he wiped my mouth for any crumbs on my face, when he was done he smiled and took the tray away, leaving me alone on my studies.

A second later I thought I had a heart attack, the whole room went black and then lightning lit up the room. The rain was beating down very harshly.

I must have screamed because Sebastion came up running he made me look at him, not that I'm surprised and all. He does that quite often when I'm "spooked" as he would say.

When he glanced over at the window he immediately understood, so he calmly and quietly walked over to it and closed the curtains shut.

He looked at me again. "Young master, would you wish to have your bath drawn now? Or shall I wait till the morning?"

I told him that I will have a bath real soon, that right now I had to think for a moment.

He nodded his head as he understood, then without a word he walked out the door to check out on the others to make sure they didn't mess up...again...

I sighed as he left the room. And just when my thoughts were being whisked away...

"AHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

My thoughts came back to this earth as I heard that voice. That scream was Lizzy's!

I opened the curtains and saw her outside in the pouring rain, holding something tightly.

I quickly closed the curtains back up and ran out the door, I told Sebastion to come with me in case I needed him.

And as usual, he followed me.

When we got to her I saw her all bloodied up in the chest, but she was still alive, somehow.

I got close to her, Sebastion by my side. I put a hand on her shoulder and she looked up at me, I looked down at what she was holding close to her chest, and it was a cat...

Must have been a stray I thought to myself until she looked at me like I wasn't paying attention to her.

I had apologized and had asked what she had said before.

She told me that she had asked a question.

I asked what it was again.

And she told me that why was I staring at the kitty.

I simply told her that I didn't know it was a cat at first, and when I saw it, I was a little...surprised.

I then asked her if she would like to accompany me for the night, seeing as it was raining hard and I wasn't so sure of where she lived...

She nodded happily and excitedly. And nuzzles my nose since she was still holding the cat.

The cat was black with white paws, it also had dark blue eyes...

She had named him Mittens and after that, it had became he cat soon after.

Sebastion held the umbrella over the both of us, surprisingly, he loved the rain, he actually just loved the weather in general...

With that we walked home to the manor and Sebastion had fixed a room for her, making the bed and everything.

I had took my bath and when I got out with my "night clothes" I glanced over into her room and saw her sleeping peacefully. The cat, snuggles up next to her, completely fixed with no moire wounds or brusies, I even heard it pure I'm it's sleep.

Sebastion had tucked me in when I got into my room, smiling a little at me, for some reason he kisses my forehead that night, something he only does in a blue moon, very rare.

"Do you need anything else, Young Master?" He looked at me as if waiting for a command.

I simply said that he was relieved if duty for tonight, a simple "vacation" I give him when he does this for me.

When he turned off my light and left, I took off my eye-patch and set it next to my nightstand. I looked up at the ceiling as if expecting something.

Several seconds later my eyes felt heavy and with that, I quickly fell asleep.

Dreaming, of what the next day will bring and be like...
