Skyler
I slowly started to wake up. I opened my eyes and my vision was blurry at first. I blink a few times and my vision starts clears up. I yawned and look around my room. I looked down to see a peacefully sleeping Ash on my lap. I pet the sleeping wolf slowly. She's so calm. Ash's ear twitches and she lifts her head up, blinking in the same manner that I did when I first woke up. Ash seemed to start to panic and tried to get up quickly, falling off the bed.

"Hey hey, it's ok Ash." I say as I quickly try to calm the obviously scared wolf.

Ash looks at me and we lock eyes. Ash starts to calm down and she walks over and sits on the floor in front of where I'm sitting on the bed.

"It's ok, you're safe. It's me." I coo while petting the wolf.

I get up and go over to my dresser. I pull out a new pair of clothes. I walk over to my bathroom. Ash follows me.

"Stay." I say turning to face Ash, "I have to get ready. This is just the bathroom." I open the door and let Ash peak inside, "I'll open the door when I've finished getting ready, ok?"

Ash gives a slight head nod. She went over and laid on the bed. I get dressed, brush my teeth, and fix my hair into a french braid. I finish by putting on some black eyeliner and black mascara to match. I walk out of the bathroom, closing the door behind me. When I turn around I am is met with a sitting wolf wagging her tail.

"Well, hello to you, too Ash." I say cheerfully. "Before we go out there are a few rules we need to go over. If you break any of the rules you may be euthanized."

Ash stopped wagging her tail and tensed up when I said the word euthanized.

"Rule One, absolutely NO attacking people. Rule Two, stay by me, no wandering off. Finally, Rule Three, you have to obey any commands that I give you while in front of people like The Guard, Ms. Harris, and other people who I will point out to you."

I wanted to see how many commands that Ash already knew so I put her to a little test.

"Alrighty, I'm going to test you." I stated, "Sit." I said sternly. Ash sat.

    "Lie down." Ash laid down.

"Heel." Ash got up and stood by my left side.

"Good girl!" I said congratulating Ash and petting her.

Ash had obeyed every single command but I wanted an easier way to give her commands.

"Ok, when I make a clicking noise that means come here and stand on my right side. When I snap once that means to growl and two snaps means to tackle. And finally, when I whistle in a high tone that means heel and a low toned whistle means to stop but stay where you are." I said.

I whistled in a high tone and Ash heeled. I then led her down the hallway, Ash staying on my left but walking slightly behind me. Many people stopped and stared. A small group of boys snickered and one reached out to touch Ash. I see the boy reach out his hand just before I pass the group and I glance back at Ash. I see her tense up, her tail raised slightly, and every hair went on end. Yet, she did not growl at the boy or snap at the group as they grew near. I didn't want to risk this kid's hand getting bit and I didn't want Ash on edge so I quickly snapped once.

Ash
I heard some kids snickering and glanced toward them. I see one of them start to reach his hand out as Sky and I drew near. I knew the boy was going to try to touch me and I wanted to snap at him but I also remembered Rule One. I tense up and try to keep my eyes forward but as we drew closer I get more and more uncomfortable. Just as we were about to pass the boy I heard Sky snap. Oh, thank god. I faced the boy, raised my tail, shoved my ears as far forward as they would go, and lowered my head slightly. I looked at the boy straight in the eye, bared my teeth, and growled in a low tone. The boy's face went from a smug smile to panic and fear. Sky kept walking but I stayed where I was, growling. The rest of the group coward behind the one who reached out and a few ran. Sky whistled in a high tone and I trotted over to her right side very pleased at the state I left the boys in.
