prologue (Flame's view)

It was his 2nd year at jade mountain academy and he felt strange. Why was he feeling worried about that annoying seawing Squid?

That seawing is such a problem, but why... why do I have some feelings for him? Flame thinks.

He knew that today was Squid's first day and that Squid will be in the same winglet as he was in.

Ugh... and also Fatespeaker is a teacher here... I dealt with her for long enough, I cant take another year of her. Flame thinks.

Flame gets up and walks inside. He is quite annoyed and hopes that the other members of his winglet dont do anything to get on his nerves.

And I will hurt whoever hurts Squid, wait why am I caring so much about him? Why am I? What is wrong with me? Why am i... Flame thinks.

He goes into his Winglet's cave.

I guess I'll be staying here... and it seems I'm the 1st here. Flame thinks.

Flame sets out his mat and lays down and sighs.

I'm just... I feel like I'm not myself... Flame thinks.

He taps his talons and then he falls asleep.
