[Discontinued] Missing Halves

Chapter 1

**Five years later**

A mass of long blond hair waves around in the wind as the little blue-eyed girl runs laughing mischievously, she chases after her sibling Tamari who had teal eyes and sandy blonde hair, which is pulled into four ponytails. She's quite a bit taller then Asami but older, behind Tamari but still in front of Asami was her second older sibling ((AN: since he's second-born)) Kankuro. Both of her older siblings just kept running making sure that they're somewhat close to her but not at arms reach from Asami; finally, they both run out of steam and stopped huffing for air giving their little sister the chance to catch them

"Got you!" she screamed after jumping onto Tamari giggling with joy and her long bright red hair all over the place which bugged Tamari

"Hey Asami, I'm gonna do something with your hair" Tamari bent down to Asami's eye level and pulled out two hair ties and put Asami's red hair into two high pigtails which made her look too cute in Tamari's mind.

Kankuro just rolled his eyes annoyed crossing his arms. His brown hair spiked in many ways and doesn't pay much attention to the girls.

Asami giggled playing with her new pigtails and hugged Tamari making her slightly gasp at the sudden action not sure about what to do. The young girl lets go of her older sister and looks around curiously "Where's Gaara?" Temari looked around and thought to herself 'some kid must have started to bully him while we were running' she sighed

**present (seven years later)**

Asami put's her hair up in her classic high ponytails, puts on her blue fabric 'hidden in the sand' headband onto her forehead and ties the back "Ah! as awesome as always!" she cackled putting on a black tank top and a light coat the color of dark red which is unbuttoned, dark grey shorts that go slightly above the knee with a kunai pouch wrapped around her right thigh, and the classic blue open-toed ninja shoes that every ninja wears. She burst out of the bathroom with a big grin and her eyebrows slightly creased "LET'S GO!" the door slams against the wall "Jeez Asami calm down for once" Her shoulders tense up as she gets angry "SHUT IT KANKURO!!" Tamari walks out of her room wearing a single light purple-colored, off the shoulders garment that extended to halfway down her thighs, with a scarlet sash tied around her waist. In addition to incorporating fishnet worn over her shoulders and legs, specifically on her right calf and her left thigh, she also wore her blue forehead protector around her neck. She sighs thinking to herself 'those two never get along especially because Kankuro hates kids younger than him' Asami's yelling kept going on and on for quite a while, but she stopped and the entire home went silent when Gaara's bedroom door opens, his low voice echoes when he speaks "Asami be quiet" she gasps surprisingly a single bead of sweat rolled down her head as she says quietly "Yes, Gaara...." he stares at her with his green eyes that consisted of no pupils and an obvious sign of lack of sleep on his fair skin and his blood-red hair just makes him even scarier in her eyes even though he and Asami grew up together he started acting very distant awhile back.

The four sand siblings left their house in complete silence, Asami behind Gaara, Tamari on the left, and Kankoro right. Setting out for the hidden leaf village for the chunin exams, in Asami's mind she was sure she would pass the exams on a landslide. Gaara's mind well was pretty blank, he doesn't do a lot of thinking, he just does things without much thought. The trip there took a couple of days alone. So when the four camped out for the night it was just awkward. Kankoro and Tamari didn't know how to start a conversation, Asami just couldn't stop thinking about when her and Gaara when they were little, playing hide and seek together just silly little games but still good memories to her and she just wish Gaara could at least have a heart to heart with her or show some sort of emotion.
