I lie awake, staring at the glow-in-the-dark planets on my ceiling, tracing the outlines of a neon green  Saturn with my eyes. What time is it, 2:30? I'm not sure anymore. Time is a construct. I would shift around to try to get more comfortable, but I wouldn't want to wake the sleeping body next to mine.

My friend Todoroki was having troubles at home with his dad and such. Apparently, Endeavor was back at trying to train him to become the number one hero, but treating him like an object that needed an upgrade in the process.  He couldn't take it anymore, so he asked if he could stay at my house for a while. Of course I agreed! I have a heart.

We didn't have a guest bedroom or an extra mattress, and I didn't want to make him sleep on the floor, so we are in the same bed together. Oh cruel, cruel fate.

I never really had a sleepover before, and I'm not sure if this counts.

I close my eyes and try to drift off again, but I feel Todoroki shift besides me and cough quietly. He sighs and sits up. I turn my head as subtly as I can, but I still accidentally catch his eye and he blinks, a little surprised.

"Sorry, did I wake you up?" He whispers.

I shake my head, "no, I've been up for a while."
I've always been a bit intimidated by him. His quirk is undeniably powerful, he has a mysterious aura to him, and I don't know how someone as visually flawless as him wants to hang out with a small, panicky green mess like me.

"Ah, okay." He looks down, then shifts over to face me.

"I really don't want to cause you any trouble, Midoriya. I can leave whenever you want," Todoroki says, rubbing the back of his neck.

"No no, it's fine, really! You can stay as long as you want." I smile reassuringly.

Todoroki smiles back, looking grateful. He then leans forward a little bit, but hesitates. I'm not sure what he's about to do, but then he leans forward again and wraps his arms around me, a little awkwardly.

"Thank you." He mumbles into my shoulder, barely audible.
I hug him back. Of course I do.
