To The Man Who Let Her Go..

Chapter 3

Beca arrived at the radio station too early. She did not plan on it but after Chloe saw her singing that song - THAT SONG - that no one has ever heard ever except for her other best friend Jesse, she needed to get out of the apartment..

After hearing Chloe ask about the song, she never heard her voice in that tone. Chloe never asked Beca a question in that way. Her voice sounded surprised but at the same time covered with anger?
Beca can't tell what it is, its too unfamiliar, too new for her to hear her best friend like that..

Setting her bag on the desk by the mixers, she took off her headphones that were hanging on her neck and plopped down to the chair.
She rested her elbows on her thighs, rubbing her temples..

After years of hiding her feelings for the redhead, she did not see this morning happening all too soon.
It was a completely different scenario and yet, what was done was done.

"Someone's excited to start their first day" Luke said while smiling coming out of the booth.

Luke was in charge of the local radio station and he immediately hired Beca after he heard her mixes.

"Or not" he said as he saw the brunette slumped back into the chair..

"You okay there?" Luke asked as he sat beside Beca..

"Uhm. Yeah. Just had a rough morning" she said, not really wanting to share to her boss what just happened to her. 

"Boyfriend trouble?" Luke asked smirking.

"I dont have a boyfriend" Beca said, sitting up straight

"Oh. So I have chance then?"

Beca stood up, eyebrows furrowed together

"Uhhh. You're my boss Luke. I'm not into that kind of relationship and besides -"

Beca was cut off when Luke stoop up and pushed Beca softly towards the wall beside the door of the booth, pinning her to it.

"Besides what?" Luke leaned it closer, his bright blue eyes glancing at Beca's lips then moving up to her stormy blue ones.

"I'm uhhh. We can't do this Luke" shaking her head, making Luke move away a bit

"Why not? Beca listen, I've always liked you since you started coming in the station, dropping off your demos. Hell I even turned down 3 people so you can have this job" Luke blurted out, his hands rubbing Beca's arms up and down

"You hired me because you like me?!"
Beca's eyes went wide open, shocked with the information she just heard.

"That's fucked up Luke! I can't do this. I want to be hired because of what I can do! Because of my talent!"

"That's not what I meant Beca. You ARE talented. Your looks just add more to it which makes it more hotter" Luke said as she tried to lean in again and go for Beca's lips

It all happened so fast before Beca can dodge Luke.
Before she realize it, Luke was kissing her. Dont get her wrong. Luke's lips were so soft and he's not a bad kisser.  She snapped back to reality.

Her eyes went even wider and pushed Luke away.
"Dude! What the fuck?! Didnt you listen to me?! Why would you do that?! I'm outta here. I quit!"

Beca pushed against Luke, grabbing her bag and headphones.

"Beca! I'm sorry. I dont know what got into me. Its just that, I really like you. A lot." Luke said as he grabbed Beca's hand. "I'm sorry. Please don't quit. I promise I'll behave"
Luke pleaded..

"You know why we cant do this?" Beca asked "it's because I'm gay Luke. That's right. I AM GAY. And I'm in love with my best friend!"
Beca surprised her self with that last statement. Why is she telling Luke that?
She decided to brush that off and glared at Luke.
