Phoenix's POV
My so called "mother" was out on her daily stock up of all her alcoholic drinks. You'd think that I'd be the one drinking away my life as a teenager, but some roles just get switched like that, now I was the protective mother figure, for the person who barely looks me in the face anymore. I wanted so badly to be able and live my life like a normal teenager, not worrying about the next time I'll get beat, but what to wear or which boy I like. But, life isn't fair, especially with me.
"Hey brat, I'm home!" my "mother" screamed.
I walked downstairs and greeted her with a shy smile.
"Listen I need you to be out of the house for a few days because i'm having someone come over." I'm guessing that this "someone" was a male who she would be getting closer to over the next few days.
"Okay." I replied back, not really caring since this wasn't the first time.
I grab a bag and stuff my clothes in, I slip on my black hoodie and walk out the door. I started walking, not knowing where I was going, just that I wasn't going to be home for a while.
"Ugh! God why do you do this to me!?" I scream out towards the sky, in frustration.
"I don't think yelling at someone who has dealt with things worse than whatever "terrible" thing your currently going through is going to help much," a foreign yet, familiar voice says. I look around, searching. A pair off deep green eyes meets mine, a small grin plastered on their face.
"Who are you?" I question, trying to recall where I might have heard that voice before.
"That's really none of your concern, after all I just happened to stumble into the scene of you screaming at the sky," he replies back slyly, making it seem like he knows something that I didn't.
"The name's Asher, and you milady are coming with me,"he grins and starts advancing towards me. I start to slowly walk backwards and then take off into a sprint when he got a little to close for comfort. I sprint for a while and look behind me, I didn't see anyone, I must have lost him. I give out a small sigh of relief and face forwards once again.
"Boo," a small whisper says into my ear.
"Ahhhh, jesus where did you come from?" I yell, not knowing how he just showed up in thin air. He chuckles sinisterly.
"I'm here, there and everywhere, you didn't really think that I would let you escape my grip that easily, not when I've been searching for you for a long time," Asher says. I don't understand, does he know me? He sobers down and starts gazing into my eyes with a strange ferocity.
"Listen, I don't have that much time, you need to come with me," He says almost pleading, but the way he's looking at me, I can't move, nor speak.
"I'll take that as your permission, let's go," He says with a dangerous grin. He grabs onto my wrist and carries me onto his back. He starts running, but it had inhuman speed.
"Hang on tight," He said. I nodded, meekly, I mean I wasn't stupid, but I didn't want to say anything that would end with me on the floor and him laughing in my face. I didn't know where we were going, but I had a sense of trust for him, wherever we were going he would protect me, at least I hoped so.
Sorry for such a short chapter guys I'll update later, Love you guys big! Btw, none of this has been edited so let me know if there are any errors. ^_^
