This all happened the Saturday after the Friday football game.
So after I ask her to homecoming, she tells me she wants me to go dress shopping with her so I can help pick out a dress. Of course I want to go. She tells me we are going with some of her friends. I knew their names and I've had a class with one of them (Megan) and was good friends with another (Lexi) but other then that I didn't really know them.
So we all meet up at the mall, all of them except for MP and I went out to eat before the mall so it was just MP and I for a while. Which was nice.
After we all met up we started looking for dresses. I helped pick some out for other girls since I already had mine. We all piled into a dressing room (yes all six of us in one dressing room) and they started to try on our finds. Miss.Perfect had initially started with four different dresses. Only one really stood out, it fit her so well, she looked amazing. We put that dress on hold so we could look at a few other stores.
Skipping to the last store, MP and I picked out some more dresses and went into a dressing room while the others went into theirs. I'm not exactly sure why we did that considering for the other three stores we looked at we were all in one. But that was MP's doing. So I watch her try on dress after dress. Some were just so bad we laughed until she put on the next one. Once or twice she caught me staring at her dressing and she jokingly said not to look at her so I turned the other way. Then she put on the one. I had never seen her look so beautiful in all the days I've known her. It wasn't just the dress. The way she smiled and her face lit up, the way her eyes gleamed. It was indescribable. She looked absolutely stunning. She showed the rest of the girls and they all agreed and told her how pretty she was. I wanted to stand in the mirror behind her and wrap my arms around her waist, kiss her shoulder and tell her how beautiful she really was.
But that didn't happen. And it won't happen. She immediately sent a picture to Lilly. And once again I was reminded that this wasn't my fate.
