Zach~ It's my third year here at East Brooke High School and I still don't understand this damn school. I'm wandering the hallways on my way to lunch when my phone chimes. I look down, It's my sister.
[(Wendy)
Yo loser, have you seen my project for Science?
(Zach)

(Wendy)
Hold on, you cleaned out the fridge
(Zach)

(Wendy)
Did you throw away anything moldy?
(Zach)
Y-yes...
(Wendy)

(Zach)
I-I didn't mean to
(Wendy)
I'm going to KILL you for this]
I looked up from my phone, slightly nervous. Whenever Wendy said she would do something, she did. I looked around and sighed. I continued to wander the halls looking for the cafeteria. I saw the heavenly sign that said 'Cafeteria' and ran down the hall. I was starving. I hastily turned the corner and ran headfirst into someone. We fell down and said "Ow!" at the same time. I opened my eyes and stood up, brushing myself off.
"My bad, I wasn't looking where I was going." I apologized hastily, reaching out my hand until I saw who I had bumped into. Sitting on the floor holding his forehead was a boy with brown hair, it was Riley Sparks. He opened his eyes and gave me a glare that could bring back the ice age. He grabbed my hand and I pulled him up. He was tall, I'd guess about 3 inches taller than me. And even though he was glaring I couldn't help but notice how beautiful his eyes were, such a pretty shade of blue.
"Sorry, again." I smiled apologetically. He moved his hair out of his face and looked away.
"Whatever. " he said dismissively, he turned and looked at me with a puzzled face, "What were you even doing? Didn't you know it was lunch?" he asked.
"Oh! Well that's where I was just going but I guess the fall made forget how to get there." I laughed awkwardly. He rolled his eyes, turned around, and started walking away. He stopped in the middle of the hallway and looked back at me.
"Well? Are you coming or are you just going to sit there looking dumber by the second?" he asked, clearly annoyed. I ran to catch up with him. Next thing I know we were walking down the hall side by side.
"So, um. Where were you going? Before I bumped into you and all." I questioned, rubbing my arm holding an stupid grin.
"The office." He answered briefly.
"Why?"
"Why do you need to know?" He stopped and looked at me. I don't think I was making his situation any better. He probably wanted to shove a mop in my mouth to shut me up.
"I just wanted to know, there's no particular reason." I replied, playing with my thumbs. He took out his phone, put in his headphones, and started playing music. It was loud enough that I could hear it. After some silence we made it to the cafeteria. I started running but he grabbed my shoulder.
"I don't want to have to do this again. Next time, come up with a better excuse for not being able to find the café. Or learn your way around." He said flatly, releasing me and walking off. How did he know? I wasn't that obvious was I? I shrugged it off and waved at my friends at the back of the lunch room. I grabbed a tray and sat down.
