In your head

I walked along the trees, staring at the sky thinking about simpler times.

I haven't thought about it in awhile but... serene... it's been awhile... I wonder from time to time where she is or if she's even real or was just my imagination, a coping mechanism.

I like to keep my mind away from thinking about HER.

It gets hard though.

"Lillian" the familiar static filled my ears as I let out a sigh turning around

"Yes sir" I greeted him with kindness, the only man who took care of me when I was broken

"Are you alright, child" He asked sitting on a rock; I looked at him before taking my own seat next to him

"I like to pretend I am"

"Why so?"

"Things are weird. It's so different from when we were in the under, I love everyone in the house as if they're family but with him there it's like a turmoil of emotions."

"Ah I understand. Adapting to change has always been hard for you, but remember they are just as you and need guidance, that's why I trust you with them. Your open minded and smart and respected by the household; that means you have potential."

"Potential? For what?"

"That's a story for another day, but please get back to the house."

"Yes sir." I stood up and walked off, returning home.

Time skip

"Hey lilly can you help me?" Jeff groaned holding his knife

"Uh yeah with what?" I walked towards him and peanut butter, jelly, and bread came into view

"I can't make a sandwichhhhh" he whined and I chuckled and started making his sandwich. After two minutes I cut the crust off and made it into squares and handed it to him

I walked upstairs and sat on my bed

Then a wave of sickness hit me and I felt my heartbeat pick up, my mouth quivered as I attempted to stand only to fall on the floor with a THUMP.

I felt my body lurch forward and my bones break only to fix themselves in different shapes, my hair became longer and my skin paled, my teeth clenched against my cheeks until they bled.

All I could scream was "Tim!" Before I blacked out
