It was a day before the wedding and I was so happy. All I did was dance around the palice and saying to everyone,
"Can you believe it?" I couldn't though, I always thought of myself as the princess who stays in the corner but now I was in the spotlight!
My wedding dress was beautiful, it was, of course white, with frilly layered sleaves and a white hat to match. People said it was not very princess like but I knew it was what I wanted. No one could tell me otherwise.I woke up, happier than ever. Then my maid, Kate, came in and squeezed me into my dress and I was ready for the wedding. This was the moment I was waiting for my whole life. I felt the butterflies iny stomach and I felt ill but there was no turning back. I was getting married.
I got into the carriage and they dropped me the church. Before I went into the church, I took one last breath and walked towards the altor. I was so nervous but seeing Jacob's face made me feel a bit better. Everyone looked at me as I walked down the alter, they were all smiling, I think they all were very happy for me. I looked at father one last time before he went to sit down.
We made up our own vows and Jacob went first,
"Fiona, I might not have known you for long but, I know you and I have a future together, that is something I have known since I saw you walked down the stairs in your beautiful red dress. I wish for us to grow old together with no problems, just love. I love you Fiona. " a tear rolled down my cheek, that was the first time he ever said I love you.
"You are the light to guide me through darkness and a hand to hold through sorrow. I have loved you ever since I saw your photograph. I fell in love with your humor, your looks and your heart, I just hope that love lives beside us till death do us part."
" I now pronounce you man and wife." we kissed and everyone cheered for us. That was the happiest moment of my life and I will always remember the day I married the man of my dreams.
Jacob and I held our honeymoon in Ireland, it wasn't far away but we didn't want to be too far from England. In the carriage I just lay my head on Jacob's chest and kept thinking of our perfect wedding and the even more perfect honeymoon that was to come.
"This was the best day of my life, Fiona." said Jacob,
"Mine too." I replied. I just stared up at him and saw my future in his beautiful blue eyes and that was how I knew he was right for me.
