Chapter 4: Alice
Melody had to stop passing out.
It was bad enough that I had a vision in front of her, but then we both had to faint.
We woke up, still on the floor of the shower room. My head ached and my bones complained, but I slowly sat up. Melody was still out cold.
"Melody," I whispered, shaking her shoulder. "Wake up. Ms. Flora's probably looking for us."
"UUUUURRRRRNNNNNGGGG..." she moaned. "I feel like crap. What in the world did we see?"
"Now's not the time. Get up. Now." I looked at my watch. "Awesome. Just great."
"What?" She asked.
"We got here at about 4:30 pm."
"So?" She asked, obviously confused.
"It's 6:34."
"Well, that's not so bad."
"6:34 IN THE MORNING!" I yelled. "WE'VE BEEN HERE ALL NIGHT!!!"
"Oh." She said. "Well, we better get going then, shouldn't we?" She stood up, straightening her shirt. I tried to follow, and nearly fell over, overwhelmed by the pain in my head.
"Woah there," Melody said, easing me back down to the floor. "What's wrong?"
"Headache," I moaned. "Don't worry, this happens after every vision." She helped me up, holding on to my arm. She lead me back downstairs to the dining room. Ms. Flora was there, but someone else was with her, and they seemed familiar to me.
"Girls!" Ms. Flora said, rushing over to us. "Where have you been? I've been worried sick!" She noticed that I wasn't paying attention. She followed my gaze to the stranger in the corner.
"Oh yes, introductions." She said, turning to Melody. "Melody, this is Carter. He says he knows you."
