It was a Happy New Year, so I wear a fancy dress, nice shoes and a pretty fave. Its just me, my little brother Farael and Dad are celebrating the whole night happy with our beloved maids. We have so many foods like caldereta, afritada, my Dad's favorite. Cakes, desserts amd many more.

I want this day as my unforgetable momment because dad gave me a necklace. Dad named it "Rakkaus" means love, He said that my mom made that only for me.

"You should wear it wherever you go" bilin sa akin ni dad.

"Pano kung manakaw dad?" tanong ni Farael he's with us kaya nakikichismis din.

"Yeah dad, he is planing to stole it from me" I am just making fun of him and he is like a girl rolling his eyes.

Its already 11:57 in the midnight, three minutes more before 2013 ends when we heard a very strange bomb outside, at mukang tinamaan ang gate namin.

"What the heck was that?" hindi ko napigilan sarili ko dahil sa sobrang lakas nung pagsabog.

"Sir! Sir! Sir!" yaya Minda came up rushing toward us.

"What was that? where did it came from?" dad asked. Even him nagulat din doon sa sobrang lakas.

"Eh Sir may nagpasabog po sa gate ng mansion eh" all of us were shocked after what yaya Minda told us. Sabi ko na nga ba tinamaan ang gate namin. But how is it possible?, this is a private subdivision, walang pwedeng magpaputok ng ibang tao sa labas.

"Go get my gun, faster!" umuusok na yung ilong ni dad dahil sa galit habang pabalik balik siya ng lakad sa salas namin.

"Dad, whats happening?" I asked him, pati kasi ako kinakabahan sa mga nangyayari e. Why needed a gun?.

"Crim stay behind the chair, take Farael with you!" hinila niya agad si Farael at ibinigay sa akin. Natataranta na si dad and I dont know what to do.

Yaya Minda came with a big gun and start walking outside the door. Yakap yakap ko lang si Farael and hiding here in a sala chair.

*bang* *bang* *bang* *bang*

Now that's a gun.

Nagulat ako sa sunod sunod na putok ng bala na narinig ko kaya sinilip ko iyon but I saw how yaya Minda fell from the ground and that left me in tears.

Yaya Minda is one of my favorite and she was like my mother and grandmother. She's always there to cheer me up when dad is on work and take care of since I was born. I dont know what to do, I want to call for help and save Yaya but I can't. I can't save her seing her blood flows from the floor.

And there is dad running, Kinuha niya agad sa akin si Fara and held my hand.

"Dad where are you going? dad you must stay here, they have guns" I'm trying to ask him to stay close to us

Nasa kitchen kami nagtatago sa ilalim ng lutuan namin, sabi ni dad it is safer in here. Just the three of us.

"Crim" dad called my name and hold my hand tight, I saw his eyes trying to say something na bukal sa kalooban niya.

"Why dad?" I dont know what he is trying to say and he can't help his tears from falling down.

"You and Farael have to live, Crim."

"Why? how about you? where are you going?" I started crying, I dont want to lose him.

"Stay strong until the end, Hija."

"No! I can't lose you dad, please dont leave us alone!"

"You were grown up, dad always love my girl" he kisses my forehead and gave me a piece of paper. "Take care of Farael" He hand me over my brother and he gave us a very huge hug.

"I love you, I love you, dad loves you both very much" and he started running away from us.

My face was filled with tears, I have nothing to do with that. Tiningnan ko si Farael with his toy. He is three years yunger in me, siguro nagtataka siya kung ano yung mga nagpuputukan sa labas.

"Ate whats happening? Where's dad?"

"Ahm, Dad is busy, he can't come right now. Dont worry, I will take care of you Farael, ate is here for you" I smiled at him while crying.

"Happy New Year Farael"
