"What's up, guys?" Jackson, one of the associates on the floor above them and their childhood friend, said as he plopped a tray of drinks on top of the reception desk. He shimmied one of the drinks out and handed one to Hailey. "Coffee for Hailey," He took out the other. "and tea for you."

"You're a life saver, Jax." Hailey murmured against the lip of the lid. She hissed as the burning liquid hit her tongue. "So good."

"Thank you very much." Opening up the flap, she set it down next to her to cool slightly.

"We're still on for drinks later, right?" He looked between them with an overly cheesy smile plastered on his face.

Hailey nodded enthusiastically. "You know it."

Just as she inhaled, about to cancel, Hailey shot her a deadly glance. "Don't you even think about it."

She exhaled, chuckling slightly.

"Mhmm, that's right. I see you. You're going, end of story." Hailey stated, taking another sip of coffee.

Jackson laughed. "Alright then, I'll see you both later then." He waved as he entered the elevator.

"Bye Jax." Hailey said, starting to type her password into the computer.

"Bye Jackson." She said, finally taking a sip of her tea. She welcomed the warm fuzziness the tea brought as it slid down her throat.

A few minutes passed before the ding of the elevator brought both of their attention up from their computer screens.

"Good morning ladies." Mr. Kim greeted as he entered the lobby with a drink in each hand.

"Good morning, sir." They spoke at the same time.

He approached the reception desk and set one of the drinks down. "Do either of you enjoy chai tea? The barista mislabeled my drink, so I got this one for free."

"She does." Hailey blurted.

"Well, then it's your lucky day." He smiled as he handed her the drink.

"Thank you, but I—" She pointed to where her tea was sitting to find it wasn't there. She quickly looked over to see Hailey had hidden it on her side of the desk.

His brow flicked upward, waiting for her to finish her sentence.

She cleared her throat before standing and accepted the drink. Trying to ignore the brush of their fingers, she sat quickly and set the drink down. "Thank you, sir."

"You're welcome." He picked out one of the caramel candies out of the dish in the center of the counter. Carefully unwrapping it, he popped it into his mouth. "What does the schedule look like today?"

"You have a meeting at 10:00, lunch with Mr. Min, then a final interview with Miss Jenna Taylor at 3:00." She listed off from memory.

"Oh yes, right." He nodded. "Thanks, ladies." He rounded the corner of the desk and slid his key card into his office door.

"I swear, girl, if you don't make a move on him, I will." Hailey said as Mr. Kim disappeared behind his door.

She shook her head. "Make all the moves you want. I'm not interested in him."

"That's the biggest load of bullshit I've heard all day, and it's only 8:30 in the morning." Hailey scoffed. "He is the most gorgeous man in this office, and he is clearly interested in you. You know for a fact that no barista working here would mess up his order."
