Exploring new lands and discovering new history was my passion in life. Coming from a small town, I wanted to explore the world. I had just graduated college when I had been asked to join a dig in Asia. I was not about to turn down this once in a lifetime opportunity. I bought a plane ticket, packed my bags, said goodbye to my mother and I was on my way. The plane trip was to long. I was yearning for adventure.
Once I arrived I was greeted by my advisor of the dig, Professor Zane. He was tall and had short brown hair. His skin was tan from the desert sun. He was the leading expert in Asian Archeology and he had personally asked me to join him. It was an honor to help a prestigious man such as Professor Zane.
He led me to the camp the team would be staying at. It consisted of 15 small, two-man, tents. The Professor directed me to one of them and said it was where I'd be sleeping. He told me to get some sleep because we had work to do in the morning and then he vanished.
I walked into my small tent only to realize I wasn't alone. Another woman was in the tent. "Hello", I said timidly, "My name is Elizabeth Reinhart. I'm new to the dig team.". "What are you standing there gawking at. I'm trying to sleep. It'd do you good if you did the same!" The woman retorted. Hmph, remind me to stay out of her way I thought.
