Jackie stood stiffly in the front yard of Eric Foreman's house.
her skin was ice cold, but she didn't dare to shiver, even.
she was frozen solid in her place, staring wide eyed through the screen doors of Eric's kitchen, to see her boyfriend of almost three years, kissing another girl.
every bone in her body wanted to run into the house, and slap them both, to scream, to yell, to be able to stomp away and leave michael running to make it up to her.
she yearned for that satisfaction.
but, she couldn't do it.
what could she say that could ever make him feel as badly as she did right now?
more importantly, what could she say to affect a person that she loved, who clearly didn't love her back.
nothing she could say to him would destroy him more, then saying the words would destroy her.
Jackie bared to move her hand, to wipe away a tear running down her cheek.
she inhaled.
they hadn't spotted her, and the kiss had grown more passionate.
she didn't want to watch anymore.
she forced herself to walk away, back home.
