Raine
Grey-blue eyes stared toward the raging water, filled with excitement with little to no fear as the woman stood at the edge of a high cliff. Wind ripped past the jagged rocks, howling as she took a step closer, her arms held out at her sides as she fell forward. Screaming as adrenaline pumped through her before holding her breath, and moving her arms above her head as she cut through the surface.
She remained submerged under the water, eyes wild as she peered around, fish swimming away from her disturbance. She emerged from the water, paddling her way back to shore, evening out her breath as she stood knee deep in the sea.
"DAMMIT, RAINE," a husky voice screamed at her as she pushed her dripping hair from her face. "You've got to stop this fuckery and focus on your training. Not jumping off any high peak for you junkie pleasure."
Raine smiled at the her twin brother. His eyes were similar to hers only more blue than grey and he was taller, much taller. His shoulders broad and his muscles prominent against his tan skin. He stood a a foot taller than her at six feet and two inches while she was five foot one.
She stalked past him, laughing at how serious he was. "Oh, come ON, Jamie!" She wrung our her hair, her feet covered in sand as she walked back to the line of trees peering over her shoulders. "I get bored of moms lessons. Why do I need to learn to be a Luna of a pack when I may not even be mates to an alpha?" Shed shrug if it wasn't for the sudden grasp on her small waist as her brother lifted her over his shoulders, ignoring her soaked state.
"Because you are the daughter of an alpha. Because if anything happened to me, our pack would be in your hands. Because WHAT IF, your mate happens to be an alpha?" He listed off the same reasons he'd list every time she'd ask, as he effortlessly carried her back to their home. Their packs home.
Raine sighs, allowing him to carry her, knowing she'd never break free of her twins grip. The familiar scents of her pack mates slowly infiltrated her nose as they got closer. Rather than the rest of them, she was waiting for the scent of her, obviously angry, mother. The current Luna of the Silver Moon Pack.
"Raine Italia Walker." Her mother's voice called out. Her long black hair pulled back into a sloppy bun and her muscular but feminine arms crossed across her torso as she tapped her foot. Raine shuddered at the sound of her full name rolling off her moms calm tone, obviously hiding her rage.
All too soon, Jamie set her down near the steps of the large wooden porch and quickly walking off, abandoning her as she stared at his back, scoffing at the sight of her huge twin leaving her to her mother's wrath.
She stood there, biting back a smile as she stared at the ground, never moving from the grass her feet are planted in. "Raine" her mother called out attempting to grab her daughters attention. "Look at me. NOW!" Her mother growled lowly causing Raines head to snap up and her hands fall to her side.
"This is the third time this week you've skipped out on your duties. The fourth month to skip the mandatory meeting scheduled by your father; your alpha." She reprimanded Raine, her voice seething in anger as she took the steps down toward her fidgeting daughter.
"Mom I-I'm sorry.." she wanted to continue until her mother's head snapped toward the tree line where Jamie and Raine recently appeared through, the smell of sweat and desperation and anger hitting her nose as her mother, Tia, growled. "Rouges." She turned on her heel and started barking orders.
Children who have yet to shift were to remain in the pack houses shelter in the basement, complete with steel so thick, not even a bomb would destroy it and all warriors were to shift. As her mom does her duties, directing elderly and children to safety, Raine mindlinked her father and brother, as she shifted. Her dress tore at the seams as a white wolf, with black paws and a streaked tail took over. Her eyes now a pale grey.
"It's about time I get out to run," Raines wolf, Emerald, pounced around her mentally in excitement and Raine couldn't hold back a smirk as she submitted to her wolf, allowing her to take control of their body.
"You were out just this morning, Em" Raine spoke to her wolf, filling their minds with sweet harmonic laughter as the brutal fight started, her wolf tackling a brown wolf with matted and musty fur. Emerald sunk her canines deep into the confused wolves neck, yanking back as blood poured out onto the grass.
"Raine, to your left!" Her brothers voice sounded through the mind link causing her to turn as a black and feral rogue slammed into her side. They rolled until Emeralds wolf was pinned, struggling a bit before kicking off the wolf, and pouncing on it, ending its life. Emeralds fur now blood stained but beautiful.
Raine and Emerald both excited with the fight continued their blood bath, ignoring even her own pack until the last rogue was dead. The grass now covered in blood and bodies of the dead wolves, who were unable to return to their human bodies.
"Is that all?" Emerald seemed to pout as she returned control to Raine, who shifted back to her human body, now naked and blood covered before heading back to the pack house, life returning to normal as the dead were piled up and burned to ash.
