They're Protecter

HARRY'S POV

(The next morning)

We are all standing outside at 3:00 the morning waiting for the portkey to activate.

Lily was sleeping on my shoulder since it was to early to function and James and Al were sitting on the ground trying hard not to fall asleep.

Out of the corner of my eye, I saw Hugo looking between me and Ron with a clear look of longing. I looked at Ron only to see him talking with Ginny about quidditch to notice that Hugo was about to fall asleep.

I looked at Hermione to see if she would pick him up only to see her trying to keep Rose warm seeing as the warming spells didn't work and  Ron and Ginny took all the blankets to themselves.

I looked at Hugo, Rose, Hermione and my kids and made my decision. I walked over to Hugo and quickly scooped him up with one hand and walked over to Hermione. Hugo looked at me in surprise but I just smiled at me and he quickly fell asleep.

I saw Hermione look up at us and at me with a silent question in her eyes.

"Can you pass me my wand from my back pocket please" I said looking into her beautiful caramel coloured eyes.

She did as I asked and gave it to me. I put Hugo and lily in her arms and walked over to where James and Al were sleeping on the ground. I picked them up and brought them to Hermione.

I took my wand and quickly turned two rocks into two warm thick blankets. I put the one blanket around Rose and saw that she didn't look so good seeing as her nose was red and lips held a tinge of blue.

Then I placed her in my lap and pulled Hermione closer to me. She still had lily and Hugo in her lap and she quickly woke James and Al and James snuggled into my side while Al snuggled into hers. I saw that the blanket was to small for us and Hermione quickly made it bigger.

We all snuggled into the blanket to warm up and Hermione layed her head on my shoulder and started singing a lullaby.

They all woke up to hear her sing and we all listened to her as she had the voice of an angel. When she was done they all started getting sleepy again.

"Mummy when we get there can you make your special hot chocolate please" said Rose. She sounded so weak.

"And don't forget about us we want some too" said Lily and everyone started talking about her hot chocolate.

"Of course I'll make for everyone and I'll even bake some cookies ok  now get some sleep" said Hermione looking at them all with a smile on her face.

"Ok" they all said and went back to sleep. Hermione suddenly turned to me with a deadly look on her face.

"Hadrien Jameson Potter why the bloody hell are we waiting at 3:00 in the morning for a portkey when we could have just floored to the place" said Hermione with a 'tell me the truth now' look on her face.

"Ginny wanted to take a portkey for the experience" I said rolling my eyes and doing air quotes with my fingers when I said experience.

Hermione immediately started saying curse words under her breath while looking at Ginny with daggers in her eyes.

I started drawing circles on her back to calm her and she relaxed almost immediately. She soon fall asleep and joined the kids in dreamland.

I looked around us alert and watching to make sure no one hurt them because I will always protect them even if it kills me in the process.
