*3rd POV*
Two weeks since the accident, Lili still hadn't woken up. Jon and Colby had to leave and head back on the road for WWE, making Joe promise them he'd inform them of any changes to do with Lili or the baby. Speaking of the baby, he had a better chance at living, now that he had lived past the first week of being outside of the womb.
Adam had been feeling distressed ever since the first night he stayed up at the hospital. He hasn't left the hospital once, afraid something would happen while he was gone. He knew that it probably wasn't true, but he was scared. Lili hadn't made any signs of waking up, though she was beginning to get better. She was finally breathing on her own, and in a few weeks, so would the baby.
If you'd like to know, Adam did name the baby. The doctors and nurses kept pestering him over it, to the point Joe had yelled at them, but Adam finally decided to name his son. Damon Leati Copeland, that's what he named his son. His son had blonde hair, but lightly tanned skin and brown eyes like Lili. Not many people knew Lili's real eye color, since she was always wearing colored contacts in her eyes.
"We're going to get some food. Do you want anything, Adam? Joe?" Josh asked, but both men shook their heads.
"You guys need to eat. It's not healthy to be starving yourself. Lili and Damon wouldn't want that." Jono said, but was ignored by both men.
They hadn't been eating, since they couldn't make themselves hungry. Adam knew he needed to eat, as did Joe, but nothing appealed to them. Their stomachs weren't hungry. The most they could do was force drinks into their system. Most of the time it was water, other times it was energy drinks. Energy drinks were something Adam and Joe didn't drink often, but now they do. They don't want to sleep, not if there's a chance something could happen.
"Why don't you both take turns sleeping? That way one of you will be awake if a doctor comes out or something." Joe's mom commented, and Adam sighed.
"I guess that's the best idea. Otherwise we'll both be awake all day every day." Adam replied, and Joe agreed.
"I'll stay awake first. I-I think I'm going to visit Lili." Joe said, and Adam nodded.
Joe's parents left for the day, having to do things for themselves as well. Not everything could be done while sitting in the hospital, no matter how bad they wanted to stay up there with their daughter. They'd be up there later that day though, which was all they could do. They couldn't get up there any faster, since they had left two weeks worth of things behind for them to do in a day. It was insane to think about, but that's all they could do, since they were worried sick about their daughter.
Once Joe knew that Adam was asleep, he stood up and headed towards Lili's room. He walked in, and stared at his little sister, as she laid unconscious in the bed, with wires, IVs, and an oxygen nose piece on her. He missed her so much. He hated himself for what he had said to Lili, even if it wasn't said intentionally. He couldn't believe he had been so cruel, that wasn't like him at all. He bit his lip, realizing he was so mean, because he couldn't stand the thought of her growing up. She had a baby and was getting married, something Joe had done years ago, but it was different now. She was the baby of the family, when it came to all of the adult children, and Joe didn't want her growing up. Yes, they had been similar in age, but she was still a few years younger than him. It bothered him to know that she was no longer a little girl, which made him feel sad. He missed her, and with all the stress and stuff going on, he hadn't really spent much time with her. Over the last two weeks though, Joe found out his Leukemia came back, and he was scared. He couldn't beat it without his sister, like he had done before.
"Lili, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to say those things to you. You are family, no matter if you were born into the family or not. You're my baby sister. I'm so glad I have you and my nephew in my life. Please, you need to wake up. Adam and I can't do this without you. We need you here, to help us deal with Damon being in the NICU. Adam named the baby Damon, after one of your favorite characters on Vampire Diaries. He vowed to name any of your other kids after other characters as well, if you'd just wake up. I-I need you a lot Lili. My-My Leukemia came back again, and I can't beat it without you. You were there for me last time, helped me go into remission. I need you to do it again. Please, I'm so scared without you. I've never admitted it before, not out loud anyway, but you're the only person that makes me not as scared when something bad happens. I know I have you by my side, and to hear this news and you're not awake and here to help me, I can't help by be scared. Please, just wake up Lili. I love you so much, and I am so sorry for hurting you." Joe cried, as he held Lili's hand in his and cried.
He was surprised when he felt her squeeze his hand back. He looked up at her, and gasped when he seen she was awake.
"I-I forgive you Leati." She replied hoarsely, and he grinned.
He hugged her as he cried, surprised she was awake. His baby sister, his best friend, and his biggest supporter was awake...

A/N: I hope you guys liked this chapter. I know it seemed a bit sad, but it is what it is. Also, the news about his cancer, it was true. He had cancer before, went into remission, and was told the cancer came back, but now he's in remission again and he's back better and stronger than ever.
Love you guys!
