My First Day

As a ran out the door to catch my bus, a swift breeze of the autumn air blew against me. My hair, which I had attempted to tame, flew everywhere. I cursed to myself and patted it down as a got on the bus and sat in a seat as far back as possible. When we arrived to school I entered the gymnasium for morning assembly and sat down on the bleachers next to my group of friends from last year. We all greeted each other and chatted about our summers. The gym was buzzing with conversations. I looked at the entrance of the gym and saw my math teacher walk in.
He was the best teacher ever. He was funny, sarcastic, enthusiastic about his job, and handso- what the fuck am I saying? that's nasty y/n, shut the fuck up
As I was lost in my controversial thoughts with myself he noticed me practically staring at him. As our eyes met, my face flushed and I looked back at my friends.

"Are you okay y/n? You look like a tomato dude." f/n said.

"Im fine and right back at ya bro." I said while laughing it off.

I couldn't get his eyes out of my head. What the hell is wrong with me?

My third hour eventually rolled around. Math class. Now I dread math, its the absolute worst. But Mr. Cilliam's makes it a little less miserable.

(yes his name is Mr. Cilliams, it's pronounced like Williams, but with a c that makes an s sound)

I had noticed me and f/n had been arranged to sit right next to each other.

Thank God, I probably would fail this class if she didn't sit next to me to give me answers.

We sat down and exchanged a few jokes before he stood in front of the class and spoke.
"Good morning class," He said in his deep voice as everyone finally became settled.
"Today we will not have any assignments. Mostly because I didn't make lesson plans, but also because its your first day and I'm feeling generous." He began walking threw the rows of desks that were filled with students, studying everyone of them.

He kept talking but the noise drowned out. I was deeply enhanced in a doodle that was actually turning out pretty well. The doodle was Draco Malfoy. He was walking past my desk when he suddenly stopped talking and walking.

"Looks like we have an artist this year in our class. May you show it to the class since you seemed to focused on it?" He said with confidence.

I was confused and stunned. But I bounced back quickly. "No thanks, Ken."
That earned a few "oh's" from my classmates.

I looked up at him and his icy gaze met mine. I could hear f/n chuckling next to me.

"Detention in my class during lunch hour. For the both of you." He shot f/n a glare.

F/n stuttered and grumbled under her breath.

Oh great, detention on my first day. Lovely.

Math class carried on and finally the bell rang.

"Why the fuck do I have detention?" F/n asked me once we were in the hallway.

"Because you laughed at me calling him by his first name and I don't think he likes you that much." I said with a chuckle at the end.

"That's no fair." F/n murmured under her breath. I chuckled again.

My morning carried on until dreaded lunch hour. It's time to serve my time. Sadly.
