My neighbour is a player?

I scurry around my room searching for my mascara, once I find it I quickly apply some to each eye then stuff it in my purse.

I look at myself in the mirror at myself one more time before fluffing up my long-ish black hair once more before rushing downstairs and out the front door.

As I am walking to my car I see my new neighbour going to his car too. I think my mom told me something about him being the same age as me and his name is Josh or something like that.

Whatever.

I turn on my car and drive straight to school. I meet Julie ( My best/only friend) in the parking lot. I'm not really a people person.

"Hey babe." She says looping her arm with mine. "Hey julie, whats up?" I ask her as I give her a quick peck on the cheek. "Nothing really just rushing now because we are going to be late!" She says draging me behind her as she rushes into the school at into our first class right before the second bell rang.

The rest of the day went on and on but finally the end of the day came! thank the lord! I rush out of my last class and meet Julie by my locker, We walk to my car and drive to my house.

"Hey, did you know that your new next door neighbour goes to our school!" Julie says as she sits on my kitchen counter twirling her black hair with blond underneath around her finger as she types on her phone.

"Yeah." I say as I grab a snack from my fridge. "He is also 17, single and very attractive!" She looks up at me and winks.

"I have no interest in him." I say getting up and sitting on the counter beside her. "Hey Talia." I hear my brother say as he walks into the Kitchen. "Hey Ray? Have you heard about the new guy next door?" Julie asks him as he walks past her.

"Yeah, I heard he's a total player!" He says opening the fridge and also getting a snack. "My neighbours a player?" I ask in disgust.

"Yeah, but mom said that she invited him and his family over for dinner tonight to be 'friendly'" My brother says putting air quotes around the word friendly. "Oh, I don't want to be here for that! Catch ya later baby." Julie says as she slides off the counter and gives me a peck on the cheek before leaving my house.

"But mom! I don't want to meet the new neighbours!" I hear my brother whine from downstairs. "I don't care what you do and dont want, now go get changed into some nice clothes for dinner!" I hear my mother yell. Just after I hear footsteps coming up the stairs.

My brother opens my door. "Well I tried, we have to get changed still." He says before closing my door.

I decide to change into a short black dress with a low cut top and my black heels to match it. "Talia! Dinners ready!" I hear my mother yell from the kitchen. I skip down the stairs and sit down at the table in my usual spot.

My brother sits at one end of the table and my mother sits at the other end. And guess who just happenes to sit beside me! The horrific hunkiness of the one and only......(drum roll please)

Josh Carter!

Just perfect, I decide to eat all of my food fast and then get excused from the table so I can go up to my room and be away from this stupid hot boy trouble. Ughh so annoying!

About a half an hour later I am just sitting there on my bed when someone barges into my room without knocking!

"Oh.....uh sorry I was looking for the bathroom." Josh says as he leans against my door frame. "Hey, I have heard a lot about you." He says pointing a finger at me and smiling evily.
