Stiles Sti8linksi wakes up in his bed, irritated by the light filtering through his curtains. Another day at Beacon Hills High! He rolls out of bed, throwing his arms above his head in a quick stretch that exposes the planes of his pale white stomach, and heads to the shower. In the shower he sings his favorite song, It's a Trap by COIn. He washes his body passively. He likes to smell like a man.

Stiles picks up his best friend Scott, who is a werewolf, in his blue Jeep. Stiles and Scott are friends, and have been for some time. They are close. In the Jeep, Stiles plays his favourite song, Pictures of Girls by Wallows. He loves Dylan Minette, althought Stiles does believe that 13 Reasons Why is an irresponsible dramatization of teen suicide. Stiles knows a lot about teen suicide, as his mother committed suicide when she was 14 and Stiles was 16.

School is mostly uneventful, as it usually is (supernatural events aside). By the time lunch rolls around, Stiles is hungry for some lunch. He sits at a table with his best friend Scott and goes absolutely feral on some Macarondi and Cheez. As he focuses on digesting the shocking amount of dairy he just consumed, Stiles is distracted by a commotion on the other side of the cafeteria.

"Give them back!" Whistler Allen shouts, jumping up in a feeble attempt to retrieve what appeared to be his glasses from the hands of Jake Luppen, Beacon Hills High's resident school bully. Whistler and Jake had a complicated relationship; although they play in a band together, they're rarely seen getting along in any capacity. The school's rumour mill is overrun with conspiracies about the two of them; Whistler paying Jake to allow him into the band and Jake secretly being Whistler's dad are Stiles' personal favourites.

"What are you gonna do about it, Andrew Ross McMahon looking ass? You gonna run home and tell your mommy that Big Bad Jake stole your glasses again?" Jake sneers from his perch atop a cafeteria table. Stiles laughs despite himself; Whistler does look almost exactly like Andrew Ross McMahon (formerly of Something Corporate and Jack's Mannequin) except for his facial structure, facial features, and general being.

Beside him, Scott sighs. "Are they really doing this again? At what point am I allowed to intervene?" Ever since realizing his place as a True Alpha (basically just a super-powerful werewolf who rose to power without killing anyone. Big whoop. Stiles has never killed anyone either and all he has to show for it is his virginity and crippling depression) Scott has been on a mission to help out the underdog as much as he possibly can. While Stiles, often seen as an underdog himself, appreciates his friend's quest to help those who can't help themselves, at times Scott's self-righteous attitude and clear moral compass are incredibly frustrating.

"Dude," Stiles huffs, "it's Whistler Allen. He fucking deserves whatever comes at him. Just let it go for once in your life." Stiles turns his attention back to the fight. He fucking hates Whistler and Jake and any misfortune that befalls either of them is alright by him!

"What'd they ever do to you, Stiles? Why do you hate them so much?" Scott asks. He has asked many times before, since Stiles and Scott are friends and often communicate. Stiles sighs and thinks back to that fateful day in third grade, when Stiles was just a small third grader and only eight years old.

Stiles has to pee and is walking to the bathroom. From inside the bathroom, he hears voices.

"She's a bitch, dude. She's a bitch and a slut!"

Stiles pushes open the door and sees his classmates Jake Luppen and Whistler Allen standing by the sinks, engaged in some kind of discussion that involves them speaking and also talking to each other. Stiles hovers in the doorway for a moment, mouth agape. He cannot believe that he just heard his classmates refer to a woman as a bitch and a slut, especially after that morning's lecture on feminist theory and the importance of ridding your vocabulary of gendered slurs. Stiles, of course, had not called a woman a bitch or a slut since reading his first Virginia Woolf novel in first grade.
