I Bop my head in rhythm with the blasting song in my headset.
My nails click as i tap on the sound board before me.
Feeling the soft vibrations of my humming against my throat. I start to sing softly when the chours begins.
🎶Last night we met at one
Drank 'til two
Danced 'til four
Walked you home
Awake 'til dawn
Slept 'til noon
And now I want more🎶A heavy weight sits on my left shoulder and I jump, ripping my headset off.
I glare up at a slim man wearing trackpants and a simple thick jumper.
"Don't scare me like that, Chase!" I yell, still sort of deaf from the loud music.
Chase holds his hands up playfully smirking. "Okay! Okay, fine" he chuckles.
he is such a playful colleague, but so annoying
"Gotcha twice in one day tho" he pushes me playfully.
"Aha, ha" but today, I'm not in the mood.
"Stop playing around, you know today is a big day for us" I say adjusting the settings all around the dashboard and sound boards.
"For you, ya mean." He interrupts me, again.
"You've been waiting for this moment for six months!" He chuckles.
Yes, I have been. All my emotions have been erupting every day this moment came closer!
Its like i'm excited for two hours but stressed and pissed for the next three just to get things perfect and agonised, ready for James.
eeeEEEEEE! IM SO EXCITED!
"Are you alright?" Chase snaps me from my thoughts. His eyebrows knotted together and his eyes wide.
"Chase! This is our first time recording an album for someone! Of course in NOT okay!"
"You'll be f-" Chase and I look at the security cameras to the right side of the studio.
"HE'S HERE!" what do I do!? Will he need water for his voice!? Food if he's hungry!? What if he hates sprinkling water!? Or how the platter I set out!?
I gasp loudly and Chase sighs. What if he's ALLERGIC TO THE FOOD!?
Chase graps by shoulders "you. Are. Going. To be FINE" he shakes me after every word.
"Now answer the goddamn door! He's been waiting there for 3 minutes!"
"He has!?"
"Gooo!" Chase pushes me off my seat and I race downstairs like a dog eager to see its parents.
