Romance (Kurtbastian)

Kurt was sitting in Lima Bean one day and a stranger wearing dark clothing and a mask over his face walked up to his table and passed him a note. The note read
'I've noticed you a lot the last few months. I think you are gorgeous and you have a heavenly singing voice.'
Kurt was immediately flattered but also a bit confused. He had gone to Scandals with his friend Blaine and a few of Blaine's friends from Dalton last week and sang karaoke there so the man could've possibly heard him sing at the club. He shivered at the thought of that night. The entire night was spent with Blaine grinding on some random men, Nick and Jeff making out on one of the couches and Kurt sitting at the bar with Sebastian. Sebastian was flirting with multiple men at the club but after a while he set his sights on Kurt and used most of his drunken energy to try and get Kurt to go home with him. Kurt liked Sebastian but not after that whole incident.
When he got home, the first thing he did was ring Blaine.
"Hey, the weirdest thing happened to me today."
"Continue."
Kurt continued to tell Blaine all about the mysterious man and the note.

As Kurt walked into school the next day, he noticed another note on his locker. The note told him to look inside his locker and as he opened his locker, a rose fell out. Attached to the roses was another note,
"Kurt, I believe that roses are the most beautiful things that nature has created but their beauty is nothing compared to you."
Kurt couldn't believe what he was reading. How could a guy be interested in him? The only openly gay guy at school who got bullied everyday since starting at McKinley. The gay loser who is worthless. He saw Blaine and immediately ran up to him.
"Blaine, look! He gave me another note and a rose this time." Blaine looked at the note and recognised that they had moved onto 'Part 2' of their plan.
"Wow, Kurt. What did the note say?" This time Kurt was able to show Blaine the note.

He couldn't focus in any of his classes because he kept thinking about this mystery guy that was apparently fascinated by Kurt. At least he knew he wouldn't be distracted in Glee club.

A week had passed and Kurt continued to receive notes everyday in different places. The third day, it was sent to him as a letter. The fourth day, he found it in his school bag. His favourite was on the seventh day, when it was taped to the white board in Glee club. This was because all the girls were very intrigued and Kurt was finally the centre of attention in Glee club for a change. He didn't obsess over being centre of attention but it was nice for it to not be Rachel and Finn for once. On Saturday, Kurt was home with Blaine and the doorbell rang. Kurt ran downstairs to answer the door but when he opened it, there was no-one there. He looked down and saw half a dozen roses on top of a white box on his doorstep. He picked up the presents, went upstairs and put the flowers into a vase where he already had the singular rose from earlier that week. Blaine sat on Kurt's bed and told him to open the box. Kurt opened the box and inside there was a Giorgio Armani suit in the box. Kurt looked at it with wide eyes. There was another note and Kurt read it out loud to Blaine.
"Kurt, I saw this suit and thought that you would look amazing in it!"
Kurt was extremely confused now because these suits cost over $2000 and he would never expect anyone to afford one.
"Wow Kurt, looks like your secret admirer is pretty rich"
"I don't know. I'm so confused with all of this."
"No need to be confused. Just be grateful that you are getting all these things."
The rest of the evening, Kurt couldn't take his mind off of the suit and the notes and the roses. 'This person must really like me' Kurt thought to himself.

The next day, Kurt answered the door again to find another box his doorstep. This time the note was on the box and it said,
"Thought you couldn't have a suit without these." He opened the box and saw a pair of formal black shoes that looked really expensive and Kurt could tell they were. Kurt had to admit this guy's charm was definitely impressing him and he was definitely starting to like this mystery man. When he took the shoes out of the box, he noticed another note. It read,
"Kurt, by now I think it's obvious that I like you and I'm hoping that you might like me back. The last couple weeks have been fun but I want for you to know who I am. Tonight at 7pm, I will be at Vivace Cuisine. If you plan to join me, ask to speak to Caroline and say that you are meeting a friend. I hope you do join me Kurt. - S"
When Kurt saw the initial at the bottom, he was shocked. None of the other notes had any signing to it. It was completely anonymous. Kurt really had no clue whether he should go tonight. He decided to phone Blaine, Mercedes and Santana, those three would give him the most honest advice. He put them all on a group call and told them his situation.
"Well I think you should go meet him but take someone with you." Mercedes said. Her advice made sense but Kurt wasn't too sure.
"I'll go with you" Santana offered. Kurt knew he couldn't agree with that, she'd murder the guy before he had the chance to introduce himself.
"I think you should go but by yourself." Blaine suggested. This seemed the most reasonable option so Kurt decided to go with this option.

As Kurt got out of the shower, he knew he had to wear the suit and shoes to go on this date. He finishes getting ready and tells his dad that he'll be back in a couple hours. Kurt drives up to the restaurant and stares at it in awe. It's a big white building with pillars and lights and fountains all around the outside. Kurt drives in and a man walks up to him.
"Hello are you Kurt Hummel?"
"Yes, why?" Kurt looked at this man in confusion.
"I've been told that your valet has been paid for." Kurt couldn't believe it, he'd never gotten valet before!
Kurt walks in and is amazed at the restaurant, the interior is somehow even more beautiful than the exterior. The inside has the same fountains as the outside and the same pillars and lights but the atmosphere of all the rich people makes it seem more beautiful.
"Hello are you Kurt?" Kurt is knocked out of his daze when someone speaks to him.
"Yes I am."
"I'm Caroline, follow me."
Kurt follows Caroline through the restaurant into an area labelled VIP. As they enter that area, there is a maximum of 10 tables in the room and only 2 tables are filled. One table has a middle aged couple on it who are enjoying their food and the other has a man with his back facing Kurt. Kurt assumes that that is the man he is meeting. He notices that his breathing has gotten quicker so he calms himself down and walks towards the table. As he walks to the table to meet the man he has begun to like over the last couple of weeks, he feels like he recognises the silhouette of the man sitting there. Kurt walks around to the other side of the table and faces the mystery man himself.
"Hello there Kurt."
"Sebastian?"
"That's my name," Sebastian chuckles after giving Kurt that response. Kurt is gobsmacked, never in a million years would he have guessed that Sebastian Smythe was behind such romantic gestures. Sebastian must've picked up on Kurt's confusion because he interrupted Kurt's thoughts.
"Told you I could do romance." Kurt is confused at first but then realises what Sebastian is referring to
*flashback to the night at Scandals*
"Sebastian, you were just flirting with another guy on the dance floor."
"So?"
"That means that you hop from one guy to another, that's not romance."
"I can do romance Kurt."
"Ye right."
*end of flashback*
"Guess I was wrong."

So there's the first one shot! I wasn't going to start this book for a couple months because of exams but I had this idea and wanted to publish it. Uploads at the moment won't have a schedule and like my other story will only have one part a week or maybe none at all. I will get more frequent with updates when I finish my exams so stay tuned.
