"Why don't we discuss plans to actually defeat Salem"Weiss said.
"She can't be beaten and you know that" Yang said.
"But maybe there is some other possibility we haven't come up with?" Blake said.
"What if we take the Grimm part of her away with my eyes?" Ruby suggested.
"But even if that's so what if she just drops herself in the Grimm pool again?" Jaune said.
They had all remained quiet as they were all trying to think of what they could do to stop Salem.
"Well I'm going to get a drink, I think you kids should go to sleep it's late"Qrow said walking out the door.
"I thought he had stopped drinking?" Oscar asked.
"I thought he did apparently not anymore" Ruby said.
"We should brainstorm more ideas before going to bed" Oscar said.
"I'm sooooooooo tired though!" Nora said falling her head on to Ren's lap.
"Go to sleep then Nora" Ren said.
"What if that's just it! We can't beat her no matter how hard we try" Yang said losing hope.
Blake had grabbed Yang's arm.
"Even if that's so we have to keep trying to defeat her if not for ourselves to the people we owe it" Blake said. Blake had gave a comforting smile to Yang to reassure her.
As the rest tried coming up with more ideas before going to sleep Weiss caught at the corner of her eye Ruby distracted.
"Ruby are you okay?" Weiss said.
It had took Ruby 5 seconds to respond back to Weiss.
"Oh Weiss sorry I was just lost in thought "She said scratching the back of her head and laughing nervously.
"Ruby" Weiss said grabbing her cheeks and staring at her in the eye.
"I'm just worried is all " Ruby said looking away from her icy cold eyes.
Ruby had found comfort in Weiss's eyes but she could not lie to her to what she was about to do.
Weiss grabbed Ruby's hand trying to show her comfort.
"Ruby you can tell me anything I'm your partner" Weiss said.
Ruby had looked back at her eyes. Weiss's eyes had a cold look but she was sad.
"Weiss I just, don't want anything bad to happen to you like when Cinder stabbed you" Ruby said.
"Ruby it's okay you'll be with me, well fight together!" Weiss said.
Ruby once again looked away from her eyes. She didn't know that and neither did Weiss. She didn't want to loose anyone else after she had lost two of her friends.
"Weiss? Ruby? Are you guys okay?" Blake said sounding concerned.
"Yes we were just going to get some fresh air Blake" Weiss said smiling.
She grabbed Ruby's hand and led her to the balcony.
"Ruby" Weiss said grabbing Ruby's hand and staring off into the distance.
"Weiss I just-" Ruby said until she got interrupted.
"Ruby I felt lonely the past couple of years before I met you. Winter when she left I felt even more lonely. Ruby you were always there for me even when I didn't ask. You always pushed yourself into my life even back then when I didn't want you to. You have made me feel not so lonely. I want to be the best partner you ever had. And maybe the best partner otherwise." Weiss said.
