'Haven’t you ever been in love?'

"YOU IDIOT! HOW COULD YOU DO THIS TO ME?? YOU KNOW I LIKE HIM, WHY CAN'T YOU GET OVER YOURSELF AND JUST LEAVE ME AND MY LOVE LIFE ALONE?!?!" The woman screeched, her blonde hair flying, her green eyes flashing.  The man standing in front of her stood speechless.

"CAN'T YOU LEAVE ME ALONE? I TOLD YOU WE WERE OVER!" The woman kept screaming at the man. He stood there accepting the screams aimed at him. His heart squeezed with such a force every time she reminded him they were no more.

"Haven’t you ever been in love?" He soon spoke up, his voice only a quiet whisper. But the woman heard him, she stopped mid scream her words stuttering.

"W-what?" The question had stunned her, she wasn't screaming anymore.

"Have you ever been in love? What you had with that man wasn't love. It was you using him to fill the void in your chest." The man's voice rose, his strength coming back to him now that the woman was no longer screaming. "I was once in love though. With a strong woman, one with the craziest blonde hair, and the brightest green eyes. She had most beautiful lips and the most adorable dimples. She was intelligent and funny and I loved her."

The woman stood in front of this man shocked. Had she ever been in love? She doesn't even know what love feels like.

"She was the most amazing person I ever met, and I loved her. She made my heart stop every time she smiled. She made me smile with just one look. Her laugh made me laugh, She was my love. And then she was gone." At that the man stood up, staring down at the blonde hair woman. "I loved her, and she left me."

"Think about it, haven’t you ever been in love? Haven't you ever felt something for anyone? Haven't you ever stared at a person and thought about how they made everything feel right? That is why I ruined your date. You are not in love. And you lost your chance."

The man turned leaving behind his love. He turned and left. Left with the knowledge that yes he had loved, but he could love again. While she would never know love.
