After the talk with the speakers Falael and Trevor headed out to the catacombs.
During the walk to the catacombs the silence between them was... Well awkward. Both of them didn't dare to strike up a conversation, and when ever they're arms brushed against each other Falael would have shivers running down her spine. After minutes of awkward silence they made it to the entrance of the catacomb.
Falael and Trevor walked up to what seems like a coffin, he runs his hand along it while Falael is looking around the place. "Hmm" Trevor smirked as he spotted the entrance to the catacombs. Falael ears twitched at the noise and turned around seeing as he's walking to the entrance. Falael quietly followed sliding down the tunnel with Trevor right behind her.
As she landed the only thing she sees is a dark corridor. Falael didn't bother to look for light source and just walked down, while Trevor grabbed a torch and sniffed it. "Fresh oil" was all he said before getting out his knife striking against the wall creating some Sparks. Some of the Sparks landed on the torch setting it a light, he looked forward seeing Falael standing at the very end of the corridor waiting for him.
They kept walking as he caught up to her looking around, "anybody home" Trevor yelled out he looked behind him seeing a pipe against the wall leading upwards. He knocked on it making an echo, "Warm, that's weird" he mumbled. Falael looked at the pipe curiously, " looks like something that would be in the Alavara's estate" she mumbled lowly following after Trevor.
Suddenly some rustling could be heard, Trevor and Falael quickly got on guard taking out their weapons. Falael decided to stick with her long knife not botherd to take out her sword.
Both walked down the dark stair case, "I can hear you" Trevor called out lighting the way with the Torch. "I'm armed, and a lot less happy then you're..." He said again Falael rolled her eyes at him.
"So you want to stay well out of my way." He said as they both reached the last step of the stairs case. Trevor placed his feet on the ground just for it to crumbled under him making the whole floor fall underneath him Falael gasp as she fell threw as well. Both landing on their feet in a crouched position. Trevor smirked, "Ha! Reflexes like a cat" he boasted which made Falael roll her eyes. As in queue the floor underneath them crumbled again making Trevor let out a gasp. He yelled all the way down until he landed on the ground on his back while Falael gracefully landed on the ground, smirking at Trevor, "Reflexes like a cat" she mused, amusement can be heard in her voice as Trevor grunted.
He finally got up and started walking along Falael. They both stopped to look at the light bulb that was in the wall. Well Falael knows since she had them in the Alavara's estate, but Trevor on the other hand had no clue on what the hell they're. Suddenly the lightbulb turned on slightly blinding Trevor and in sync the other lightbulbs started to turn on.
In the middle of the demolished soldiers or just ordinary humans, a statue that seems to look like a speaker stood. Trevor walked up to it and tapped it with his sword. "Either someone left a statue of a speaker down here, or..." As Falael tried to think what creature can make people turned into stone, two creatures has came into her mind "it's either a Medusa, or a..." Before she could finish a harsh bang echoed around the area they where in making both of them turn around at the area where the sound had cane from.
"A fucking cyclops" she finished her sentence staring up at the hideous creature. Quickly she took cover pulling Trevor along hiding behind a pillar, "Stone-eye cyclops, right out if the family bestiary." Trevor said.
"You think you could handle it yourself" Falael said not really interested in fighting at the moment, "Of course, what kind of Belmont would I be if I can't kill a mere cyclops" Trevor smirked confidently at Falael. She smirked back and jumped out of the way along with Trevor. Heading towards different directions, Trevor towards the cyclops and Falael towards the shadows.
