Today is my first night of class. Yes, night. I ended up telling the Headmaster I was a vampire and transferred to the Night Class. "Mei-chan, hurry! I wanna introduce you," Aido whined. "I can introduce myself." That ended that, and it left me alone with my thoughts. Of all things, my crush tells me he likes Yuki, and only Yuki, and now I have to go to class with him. I sighed, "Mei-Chan, be prepared," My brother said ominously before suddenly pushing me into the classroom. " This is my sister! You will love her or I will fight you!" I deadpanned, slowly leaning over to whisper in his ear. "I hate you." Aido ignored my little comment on his dramatics, and everyone except for Kaname stared at me in confusion. Creeped out, I made my way to the very back, taking a seat there, next to an almost-stranger. "Shiki, right?" I asked. "Yeah." Not knowing what else to say, I put in my earbuds and listened to music instead.

The music wasn't too loud though, and I heard the teacher come in. "Everyone, take your seats." The teacher scanned over the class, his gaze landing on me. "Who are you?" He asked monotonously, his index finger pointing right at me. "Mei Hanabusa." I said loud enough for him to hear, and he huffed in response. "What a jerk." I mumbled to myself, though it seemed like Shiki heard it because he responded with a short "indeed."

The class dived right into math, the teacher calling on students for answers. "Ice guy, what's the answer?" The teacher called out, and it didn't make sense to me at first, not until my brother answered. " The answer is 7, sir." It then dawned on me that this ass of a teacher didn't bother to learn names, but instead addressed people by their powers. He asked another question, calling out another student to answer. "New girl, answer." I scoffed, insulted by how condescending he spoke. "X equals -4." I said in the most bored tone I could muster, and the teacher cocked an eyebrow up. "Not very eager to learn? Not surprising, you seem like the lazy and stupid type." Now that had struck a cord, and for some reason my hand began to twitch. I placed my other hand over top of it, attempting to stop it from shaking, though it seemed to be no use. Soon after, a loud crack echoed in the classroom, and the teacher's leg went in an unnatural position, his scream following soon after he crumpled to the ground. I stood up suddenly, fear coursing through my chest as I ran out of the classroom, a deep feeling in my gut telling me that the whole situation was my fault. "That was me...oh my god, that was me, wasn't it?" I mumbled to myself, leaning against a wall out of defeat. "It was." A voice spoke from behind, and I quickly turned to look.  It was the Headmaster once more. "That's a deadly power for just an aristocrat, Mei." His tone was accusatory as he spoke, though his demeanor suddenly changed back to calm and collected. "Yuki asked for you to meet her at the fountain."

That's all it took to have me running off, not wanting to deal with the questions of what had just happened. Sure enough, Yuki was there, a bright smile on her face as she waved to me. "Mei-chan, look!" She said happily, holding out her other hand to show off the mini bouquet of red roses.
