22:17 p.m.

It was lonely at home again. Your (animal) was sleeping in it's bedding and you were laying on the sofa (watch tv/play video game/other). You weren't very entertained by the activity due to the rain pattering softly on your window. It was so relaxing that it had put you to sleep within 5 minutes of your attention to it.

-Dream State-

It was so dark and cold. A place of nothingness, where the lack of all life and lack of everything had resided. No heat, no light, no basic signs of life. You weren't even sure if you were there for real or just half sleeping in your house.

You spun around slowly, unable to make out anything in this darkness, not even your own hands. You sighed, echoing that sweet sound all around you. You rubbed your eyes to be sure this was true darkness, but when you brought your hands down from your eyes, the darkness became light, a house, a family room. But no one seemed to be here.

You got up off the sofa, on which you were seated, and went into the next room, the kitchen. No one was here either, but something was baking and it smelled rather appetizing. Your stomach made a slight grumble at the smell. You kept moving, though. Something was egging you too, like a calling. And you started not to feel so alone anymore.

You found a set of stairs, they were white marble with a gold rail and trim. It was beautiful, like stepping into the house of The Almighty. Maybe it was Heaven... Maybe it was Hell. But it sure was so beautiful that you had to follow the steps up to whatever they led to.

You made it to the top of the staircase, lungs on fire from such a quick rush of adrenaline from the inclination of the steps. You stared ahead of you, feeling a little off. The room was only a half room, like a set apart library in a hall; open to all passerbys. At the left end of the hall, there was a door, nothing before it except the open bookshelves in front of you. And to the right, more doors, except these ones had chains on them.

You figured the chains on the doors were just fair warning, so you left them alone and walked to the bookcases, fingers running over each spine. Your eye caught a splendid book, gold trim, white all around, your name on the spine. Come to the matter, there were many names on each book. Some you recognized and others you weren't very familiar with.

There was still the one unchained door that not only had it caught your eye, it had baffled you due to the deep obsidian color of the door and more gold trim. You took the pretty book of your name and went to the left end of the hall to the beautiful door. At first, you'd raised your hand to knock, but then you decided against it and to just walk in, but you stopped with your hand on the handle.

Something black, cool was seeping under the door, turning your naked feet the color of this liquid. Your feet grew extremely cold and you hissed slightly at the sensation. Maybe if you opened the door the feeling could go away, maybe the liquid was just pulling you in deeper... But that startled you too, to find out the other side of the door is just another door, or maybe something far more sinister than you'd like to believe.

You opened the door very slowly, all the way until the door was against the wall inside the room. It was a bathroom. And black liquid came gushing out of the room as though there were a pool party inside and you had just ruined the contents.

-Early Morning 5:50 a.m.-

The morning was sunny, although it was great, you were slightly salted because the weather is rather indecisive as of late. You were still on the sofa from the night before, still recalling all of the details of your dream. You couldn't exactly grasp the meaning of it, so you ignored it and decided to shower, then leaving to get your breakfast as would be the official the start of your day.
