The First Day

I walk down to the bus stop just to see a big yellow bus waiting for me at the stop sign. I walked on to the bus not knowing anyone. Just sitting in my seat waiting to get to school, I see something. It was a little, black, lonely squirell. I wondered if I would be looked at like that. After passing all of the stops, we finally got to school. I asked where to go. I was directed upstairs. I was shown my locker. I put my stuff in. I was shown where I was sitting and then sat down. Then, I put my binders in my desk.

When the first two periods was over, we went and got our snacks. Then, we went outside. When we went outside, I didn't know where to go. I just sat by the school. Then, I saw some girls doing gymnastics in the distance. I walked over to them and introduced myself. "My name is Sam. I think you guys are in my class", I said slowly. They looked at me. "DO YOU LIKE ANYONE YET?!" One on them asked. I shook my head then walked away. I sat down by the school. I see someone in the distance, exept they weren't in my class. They were in grade seven. It was a boy. When he got closer, I looked away.

He walked closer to the door. When the bell rang, we all went inside. I was holding the door at the top of the satirs. Suddenly, the boy passed me again. He bows to me. I new that was a Japanese tradition so I told him that you do it with your hat off, and you say "arigato" when you bow. So, he thanked me. I suddenly started to have feelings for this boy. On Friday, I asked him what his name was. "I'm Owen", he said nicely. "I'm Sam", I said. He shook my hand. But this Owen was not like any other Owen. He was a special Owen.

Owen and I would see each other everyday. "Stay away from him!" a boy named Kieran told me. "He's bad news." "But I like him... A lot. He is really nice, he is funny, and his hands are warm like blankets!" I said. For that whole weekend, all I saw was Owen. His brown hair and eyes were just so beautiful. But of course, a guy like that would never go for a girl like me. I am a girl, but I don't want to be. I wouldn't wear anything girly and I hate makeup so much. Now I am always told "Sam you can never change" but anything is possible!

To get more information about Owen, I asked someone I met. She was in grade eight. She told me his Instagram, so I followed him. Seconds later, he followed me back. I saw he posted something. His Kik (For those of you who dont know, Kik is a messanger app). I suddenly filled with joy. I added him. I didn't know what to say so I typed:

Me: Hey it's Sam. Remember? Arigato?

     Owen: Hi

      Me: What's up?

Owen: Nothing much. Hbu (how about you?)

Me: Nothing. Can you keep a secret?

      Owen: Yes.

Me: So, my parents have been fighting and I don't know what to do. So, can you help me?

Owen: Just do what ever you can to make them happy and tone them out when they are fighting.

      Me: Ok thanks.

      Owen: Anything that helps

Me: This might sound cheesy, but you're the only one I can talk to right now.

Owen: Well, I will always be here if you need me.

Me: Thanks. That makes me feel really nice

On Monday, I went to school. He was there waiting to give me a long, big, warm hug. "Stay strong hun", Owen whispered into my ear. "I will try", I whispered back. He smiled at me.
