Heartbreak

You sat on your new bed. You weren't crying, you had no reason to. George has been your best friend since year seven, and you always knew he meant a lot to you. But the butterflies you felt when he kissed you were like nothing you had ever felt before. But he was your best friend, you couldn't cry about him seeing someone else, you didn't even know the girl she might be amazing. You could see Alex though, and he had been a close friend since George had blown up on YouTube.

A knock sounded at your door, pulling you out of your thoughts.
"(Y/n)? Can I come in?" It was Alex, and as you hummed in reply, he shuffled through the door. Out of the crack, you could hear a girl giggling and a boy laughing loudly. Your boy.

You had been single for around six months now, but the attachments Ryan still had on you were noticeable. You couldn't trust people to not cheat yet, and had had a string of one night stands, which had earned you a trait in the group.

"Hey! How's your new room?" Alex said, throwing himself down on the bed. It was obvious George had told him what had happened, but he avoided the subject, that's what you liked about Alex, he never purposefully brought up a subject that didn't need mentioning.

"I love it! Did you help George decorate?" You said in a fake happy voice.
"Yeah. We did it yesterday, because you know you were coming round and yesterday was the only day you didn't!" Alex laughed, making you laugh along with him.

After about ten minutes you heard the front door slam, and assumed George had gone out with Alex's cousin. So opening the door you offered Alex a glass of bath water and walked out.

George was sat on the sofa, his legs up, his face glued to his phone. You stopped and began to walk back toward your new room, before George called your name.
"(Y/N)!" George called leaning his head back on the sofa.
"Yeah?" You questioned, going into the kitchen to pour yourself an apple juice.
"Please look at me." He mumbled, standing up. George stood at 5"8 and was still taller than you, who was a feeble 5"1. Midget.

You arranged your face to not show any emotion, and turned around.
"What,  George?" You said, his face dropped, he had never wanted to upset you, but when you broke up with Ryan he thought he had a chance. He had been in love with you since year nine, the day you beat up Callum Styles because he said George was gay and pushed him over.

"I'm sorry, I told Ashley to leave." He said, walking toward you. He held his arms out and you crashed into them, wrapping your best friend in a hug.

"It's okay. Let's just pretend the kiss never happened." You said, but you couldn't see George's face drop. He tensed against you, and you looked up at him, smiling. You didn't want to forget the kiss either, but you felt you didn't have a choice.

"Okay." George muttered, and you felt your heat drop.

"George your my best friend, you know that?" You muttered later that day as you sat on the sofa, Alex had gone to his girlfriend, Ellen's house, until next week and you and George were cuddled up on the sofa, looking for videos to show on your channels.

Your channel had a grand audience of five million, the most any of your friends had, and were the most famous, holding an Instagram of 3 million. Your merch drops kept restocking, selling out in thirteen hours. You were extremely successful, and loved helping your friends out in any situation, showing your caring side.

"I know, your mine as well." George was never good at showing his emotions. He kissed the top of your head and went back to laughing at a video by your ex boyfriend, Ryan Franklin. You, George, Will and Alex had a massive rivalry with the guy and so did most of the YouTube community. Before he begun his YouTube channel, he was one of the nicest people you had ever met, and then he gained a following and would cheat on you nearly every night. And finally after a lot of convincing from George, ended it. He raged and hit you, but George and Will were sat in your room and cane to the rescue. You hadn't seen Ryan since he fled from the apartment, seven months ago.

"I love you Georgie." You whispered before falling asleep across his chest.
