The next morning, and every morning after that, Clementine sat with Louis. She grew some sort of feelings for him, that she thought he had for her. They would talk to each other on the bus, for twenty minutes.

"How bout' a little bit of fun" He said with a wink. Clementine took it the other way.

"Um ew, that's gross, and on a bus?" Louis looks at her with a confused face.

"Uh I was talking about this." He pulls out a deck of cards from his backpack. Clementine starts to blush, and gets embarrassed.

"Oh, that. Right." She said with a little giggle.

"This game is called war. The oldest game around. A game played by man and beast alike. The only game there is." Louis said, dramatically.

"Umm okay, how do we play?"

"We both flip a card and whoever gets the lowest number has to answer a question from the biggest number." Clementine nodded her head, making sure she got the rules in her head. They each flip a card. "Booyah! I told you I was, the best!."

"You never said that."

"Well now I did. I'm, the best." Clementine let out a little chuckle.

"Hurry up and ask the question."

"So uh, ever uh, ever had....a boyfriend?"

"Umm. Nope, never." She was lying. Clementine was in a very, violent relationship before she came to Ericson. That's one thing she won't miss.

"Really, never? Have you met you?"

"Is that a compliment?"

"Well, yes. Clearly guys don't know what true beauty is." He added, with a wink. Clementine found that a little funny, and giggled. They flip the cards again. This time Clem got the highest and Louis got the lowest. He peeks over and looks at Clementines card.

"Okay, do your worst."

"What is, uh.. your type of girl?" She immediately looked away and blushed. Feeling embarrassed.

"I said do your worst, but I kinda just like...girls like you?" He said scratching the back of his neck. Clem turned around, and looked at him with wide eyes. Suddenly, the bus stopped. They were at school, and the bus slowly unloaded the teens. Once Clementine got off, she waited for Louis. They both went to their first period class. Clementine walks in an looks for a seat. She finds a seat right in the back. Louis walks up to her and sits next to her.

"Hey." He said.

"Oh uh, hey!" She said, saying it much louder than she thought.

Clementine's POV

Louis finds a seat next to me. On the bus he said he likes girls like me. So does that mean he likes me? I am super confused, and I ask him a question.

"Hey um Lou, who do you like?

"Like, like like?" He said raising an eyebrow. "That's not a hard question, but it's hard to say."

"It's okay, I understand if you don't want to say it."

"I want to, it's just. The girl I like is sitting next to me." My eyes widened. I didn't know the boy I like, likes me back! I slowly put my hand on his, trying not to go to far. His smile softened as I did that.

"I have the same feelings as you." We were both in complete silence for while, staring into each other's eyes. His dark brown, beautiful eyes. We were both in silence for a while until suddenly...

"Hey guys!" Marlon shouts, as he grabs me in Louis by the neck, in a playful manner.

"What do you want, dumbass?" Louis said to Marlon.

"I was just seeing how my best friend, and his girlfriend-" He was cut off by Louis.

"She's not my girlfriend!" He yelled.

"Okay, whatever you say buddy." Marlon walks away, and Louis turns to me.

"Sorry about him. So, wanna get started on this project?" For the project, we had to make a poster board about a book. So kind of like a book report, but on a poster board.

"Who said I was picking you as my partner?" I say, sarcastically.

"I just assumed, since you kind of like me." I roll my eyes, but then start to blush. Why would I tell him so early, it's only been three days. At least I know he has the same feelings.

"Well, I don't see anyone else here who really wants to be my partner. So I guess we can do the project together."

"Yay!" He says jumping up from his seat and clapping. "Glad to be of service."

We start to choose which book to do. I want to do 'The Fault in Our Stars' but he says its "overrated".

"We should just do out own books, on a different panel?"

"Yah, maybe that's better than just fighting." We agree to just do our own books, on the same poster board.

Time skip

I wait for Louis by the gate. He finally comes and walks with me, to our bus. We are so close, to we're if we let our hands dangle, we would touch hands. It doesn't sound close, but it was. Any time our hands would touch, I would just want to grab his hand. All I did was think about that. Then he did it. He grabs my hand gently. I look at him with a confused face, and he looks at me with a worried face. This is what I wanted. I hold his hand back, as we walk to the bus.

Once we get there, he let's me go first. I let go of his hand, and walk up the stairs. I go sit down at a seat somewhere In the back. Louis follows, and sits next to me. I put only one headphone in, and without thinking, I grab his hand. A wave of calmness comes over me. I felt so relaxed, holding the boy of my dreams' hand. It was anyone's dream come true.
