EJ has a poor sense of direction. Infact,he gets lost in the woods all the time. It takes him three to six hours to find the mansion. It got so bad that Slender gave him ribbon to tie on the trees he walks past that leads out of the woods and towards the mansion but people followed it so he took it down.
