On a cold midnight in the middle of April. All is still, the air very mutch, calm, the pathway clear of impurities, organic or not, adjacent to that same path, in central city park, sat a man. to the eyes of common observers, their was nothing extraordinary about him. Someone who did know him would think differently; but no one did, this man was a ghost, he existed in few memories, and fewer database's. in his hand, an envelope addressed to 56 Blake hollow

He sat, calm and relaxed, his thoughts to himself.

His phone starts to ring, he answers it and, a woman's  voice asks him, " you sure you want to go through with this?".
" Of course" he replied "we haven't come this far not to I'm sure she is a prime candidate",
" if your sure" but remember it's her choice she chooses what she wants, just like all the rest".
"I know enough about her to know this is exactly what she wants, and that makes her perfect for the institute".
"I'll expect to see her soon then, good night sir".
"Good night to you as well". He hung up. pocketed the phone and went to post the envelope.

"Sky, a letter came for you in the mail today, come open it"
"Coming mum"
Sky peeled her eyes open and reached over to her dog max who immediately jumped onto her bed and started affectionately licking his victim, causing mutch discomfort to a half asleep sky, who managed to pry the big old border collie off her. Reaching out a second time she grabs onto her wheelchair and hoists herself into it. It had been six months since she lost her legs, as well as mutch more.
She starts wheeling herself towards the kitchen, then halts at her little brothers empty room, his toys still in boxes, the paint stripped, the furniture dismantled.
Her dad notices and walks up to her,
"It's all right, you did what you could, were just glad your still here,
She looked up at him and smiled an empty emotionless smile, just enough to make him think she was all right.
Then continued to through to the kitchen. Her mom handed her the letter, it was opened, then read

Sky passed the letter to her parents who read it quickly and then paused,
"Sky this is an incredible opportunity, are you going to consider it?"

*17 April 08:06*

"Thanks mum"
Sky was their, the horizons institute, today she took her first steps to getting her legs back, and this was one small step for science and one giant leap for the legless girl. she hadn't slept last night, currently running of three cups of coffee each with four sugars. She wheeled up to the door, and rolled in to the a room, filled with awesomeness.

The room was about three stories tall the upper two with balconies that curved round the centeral pillar, at the base which was a reception, the room was mainly filled with three main themes, technology, biology and the colour white.

Sky comes up to the receptionist, "um. Hi, I'm pretty sure your expecting me."
The receptionist looks up, she looked kind and energetic, but obviously overworked, sky felt sorry for her.
" Hi you must be Jess, the new girl Dr Richard told us about, big day eh!".
" Actually I'm not. I mean I'm the new kid but you must be mistaken, I'm sky, azure sky."
"Oh sorry there are two new ones, doesn't help their both in wheelchairs...
sorry, I didn't, not like that, not that your."
She now looked incredibly flustered, for thinking she was offending a seventeen year old girl with no legs.

" It's ok, I get that sort of reaction often, like, how do I not offend the girl in the wheelchair, it's all right, I find it more funny than offensive,
but I mean hopefully that won't happen after a few visits here...."

An unknown voice yelled out " sorry I'm late, damn stairs allways in between me and where I Wana go"

Sky turns, And the voice came from another girl in wheelchair,  roughly her age, carmell skin probably of carabian decent or had spent too much time  in a tropical area, yet from her voice, she was most likely British, medium length hair, dark brown almost black, she wore large dark grey cargo pants, red trainers, a crimson t-shirt and a light weight zip up hoodie in arctic cammo. Her upper half was well built, but not too bulky or masculine either, though sky couldn't tell she assumed that she was rather tall by the way she sat in her chair... Then it hit her Jess probably plays basketball, it all clicked in when her attention was turned to the wheelchair, it was one that disabled basketball players use. At least they had one interest in common, sky loves basketball, she hadn't played since the acident though.

Jess came over to sky
And the two introduced themselves to the other
"So" said Jess " your doing this too right?"
"Yep, hey I noticed the wheelchair, you play basketball don't you"
"Wait you do!, Epic"
"Not really done it in the last six months, not since" she gestured to her legs and Jess seemed to understand, " I'd rather not talk about it"
Oh, that's all right, most who lose parts of themselves find it hard to discuss it"
Thanks, means alot"
Don't mention it, and hey I know you're curious about what happened to mine, paralysed, from the hip, if they're Gona fix these" Jess lifts up her trousers to reveal two very spindly legs the looked like weight hadn't been put on them in years, "even after, it will take a while to get back to the old me. so you nervous?, if you didn't sleep last night then your not alone" the two continued to talk for a few minutes, then a rather tall (from the perspective of a girl in a wheelchair) man with medium length Black hair, tied back with a pink rubber band, and sporting the stereotypical  white lab coat, he seemed welcoming and kind yet intelligent. And sharp

"Greetings I'm doctor Richard horizon head of this institute, you must be Sky and Jess, correct? Please follow me.
