"Mum. Dad? Where are we going?" Norman asked. His mother in the passenger seat turned around and smiled.
"A special place called Gravity Falls. It's perfect for you, Norman." Norman did a half smiled. His sister scoffed.
"Ugh. I've been through a lot already. I don't need this."
"Quit being a sissy. This is family night, and we will have fun." Norman's father said. Norman nodded, and looked out the window into the forest. He felt a strange presence. . . But then again he always does, so he let it be.
Once they arrived in Gravity Falls, they stopped by a hotel to drop their stuff off. Norman looked around, and smiled to all of the ghosts. They tilted hats and smiled back. Others looked at him weirdly. Some even more weird than the humans. After they were done unpacking, Norman decided to take a walk outside, and met a bunch of people. As he was walking, he ran into a girl, with an oversized sweater on. Norman exclaimed and touched his bruised forehead.
"Woah, there, partner. you could a just said hi." The girl said. Norman looked up and saw the curly brown teen smile widely. Her purple braces sticking out.
"Oh. . . Sorry. I was talking to this man." Norman said, pointing to nothing. The girl gasped and giggled.
"Are you supernatural!! Oh. By the way. I'm Mabel Pines. I live in the Mystery Shack up the road. You should check it out. . . our grunkle Stan owns it, but he can be cheap. If you really want to buy something here, Id go to that antique shop. But hey. Your money." The girl named Mabel smiled, and pointed to her sweater, which had a llama on it. "By the way, I wear weird sweater. I love sweaters. My brother likes to think otherwise, though!" She leaned close to poor Norman, and whispered. "He's a party pooper." She spoke in her normal voice next. "What do you like?" Norman looked wide eyed at her, then shook his head.
"I-I like zombies. . . And ghosts." Mabel giggled.
"Okay! I make all of my new friends sweaters. Yours will have a zombie on it!"
"Friend?" Norman asked.
"Of course! Anyways. I have to get back to the Mystery Shack. Bye, Norman!" With that said she started skipping off, into the woods.
