Kaelyn's POV:

Jared walks back over and sits down beside me. We sit and argue for a bit, then realize that our flight is boarding in a couple minutes.

We grab all of the stuff that didn't go into the moving truck and walk towards the gates.

"Hello and welcome to New Jersey Airlines, I hope you have a safe flight." The lady at the desk that takes our tickets says. I smile and say thank you, then we head down the hall and get on the plane.

Jared sits on the inside, then Adeline in the middle, and then me on the outside because I'm probably the only one going to be taking care of her needs this flight.

Skip to after flight

After a long 5 hour and 20 minute flight we finally get to leave the plane. I didn't sleep much on the plane because of Adeline so I get Jared to carry her car seat for the rest of the night.

"Where are we staying?" I ask. "My good friend Markus is picking us up and letting us stay with him until we get settled down." Jared answers. "Okay but what about all of our stuff." I ask again. "It won't be here for a couple days so in that couple days we will look for someplace to stay." Jared says and looks right at me.

"K" I respond looking down at Adeline sleeping peacefully in her car seat.

A black car pulls up in front of us and the window rolls down.

"Ayo! Jared my man!" A man says from the drivers seat. "Markus dude! Wassup!" Jared reply's. "Come on, get in losers!" Markus yells at us and then laughs.

Jared gets in the front seat and I strap in Adeline's car seat in the back and then I get in with her. "And who's this pretty lady" Markus says turning around and looking at me. I feel a bit uncomfortable but I respond "Kaelyn".

Markus just winks at me and drives off.

Skip car ride

We pull up to a run down house with beer cans and bottles laying all across the lawn. I'm slightly grossed out. We get out and grab all our shit and walk inside.

The house was full of smoke and I could just smell the alcohol imbedded in every part of it. I start coughing and I realize that we can't stay here.

I ask Jared if we can go get some coffee and he says sure with a weirded out expression. I have to talk to him about staying somewhere else.

Before we left I called an Uber to come pick us up and when it got here I loaded all of mine and Adeline's stuff into the trunk. Jared didn't notice and the reason I did that is because I don't think I'll be going back home with him.

A/n: this chapter was a bit longer. But I still feel like it's shit. I just want to get to the point but I have so many ideas for leading up to it! I feel like I'm doing a lot of time skips but I just don't feel like writing all unnecessary shit. You know?
