Ruining My Rule No. 1

Prologue

Alexis take a deep breath before she steps down from the plane. She was just so nervous that few hours ago, she nearly thrown up from her seat.

Thanks God she hasn't eaten anything.

She has these two reasons why her stomach is flipping up and down. First, it's her first time to be away from her parents in the Philippines; and the second one is, she is now heading to the world of liberation which is quite not her way of living.

"Alex!" An elegant woman smiled at her. She is blonde and beautiful. But you can see that she aged because of her wrinkles at the end of her eyes.

"Oh hi auntie Kelly" she smiles back. This is quite awkward, she thinks, greeting her like they are so close even though they haven't even met once.

Well may be they met but it's only over the internet! She is her mom's bestfriend. Her mom met her when she was working in California as a nurse. Actually she have many relatives here in California especially on her father's side. And she doesn't know why her parents decided to let her stay with a person she barely knows!

"Uh your uncle Terry is coming" she smiles widely when a middle aged guy nearly 40s came to their way and kissed her in the lips.

Uncle Terry is a big and nice-looking guy with a brown hair and green eyes. He was so kind when she met him few years ago in his Dad's birthday. She even gave her a box full of chocolates! Which was her favorite thats why she started to like him though its just for once.

She coughed trying to get their attention like saying that 'hey! I'm here can you please get a room?'

"Oh I'm sorry my dear I've been carried away" smilingly she replied while fixing her red lipstick around her mouth.

"I'm sorry for asking this, but why do you have luggages?" Alex asked referring to the luggages that are beside them.

"Oh Alex we have a vacation in Macau but it's more on business trip. I'm sorry if we haven't told you earlier" Terry said apologetically.

"But don't worry Payton and Daniel are in the house and the car is waiting for you outside to drive you home" Her aunt smiled sheepishly. "We're so sorry Alex we can't be with you in your first day here in California, but don't worry we'll do our best to get back as soon as we can" she added.

"Don't worry about me Aunt Kelly, just enjoy your vacation there in Macau" Alex smiled.

After she exchanged goodbyes with her Aunt and Uncle. Alexis turn around and made her way outside the airport.

Before she step down, she closed her eyes and breathe in the air that's brushing her fair skin. It is blowing together with her long wavy brown hair.

"It's the start of brand new things" she said to herself and then opened her eyes.
