"However, force uses the bodies compatibility and the minds effort. You have to imagine the tiles of this mosaic of soul shattering outside your body and then allow yourself to move the pieces. Many commoners practise this method, they control only there soul as they have no affinities for magic. This can make them enhance themselves and increase strength or stamina but they cannot increase there mindset so they do not unlock the potential as using there soul into an outside force like magic. And, many cannot refine themselves as they focus on everything around themselves and taint themselves with questions instead of reflecting.
But others that have affinities do not care for these trivial methods and use the human way of thinking by revising chants and learning about elements and fairies.

Now, fairies are entities that are just born from the natural force around certain places, they do not have souls but instead govern the 'element' they were born in. If they like someone they can contract them in a 'familiar pact' and can give there rule of an element to there master this can allow there master to become exceptionally strong. But this does not mean they have control or true strength as it is a borrowed power and when the master dies they become a replacement for the fairy.
However, the humans believe the fairies second from the gods and that they are exceptionally wise and all mighty creatures which is a lie as they are just nonsensical brats with no soul."

Other than fairies, other familiars are yokai that want to be protected by a 'master' or some great beast bestows it's 'gift' from Hircine allowing that master its magic. This just means, it grants the master there soul in exchange for loss of consciousness that can allow them sleep or peace. But when they do this, the soul that goes into the master tries to connect and form one but in most cases this does not work leading to split personality disorder and it means that when the master dies they become Graveborn out of force as the soul does not no they are dead that leads it the wish to be reborn."
But once two people of different race formed a familiar contract in theory this can happen across any humanoid entity including gods in some sense. But when they did this the 'familiar' that was not the master had an ability to become a piece of jewellery that showed connection from the soul. The 'familiar' could turn into this state at will and so whatever they wanted at the landscape inside it and they could drag there master to unconsciousness to go inside this landscape."
