Louis cruised through the busy streets of  Richmond, deep in thought. It was his final year at Ericsons high, and he was thrilled to finally be on the cusp of leaving that shithole of a school, He hated just about everything about it. Being as rich as he was he stuck out like a sore thumb, all his brand name clothes and jewelry, not to mention his exotic choice of cars, made him the most popular boy on campus. His skills in football also made him stand out, as he was a star receiver on the Ericsons football team, years of rigorous strength training had left him with a very remarkable physique.

He was the dream boy for every girl at the school as a result, his twitter and Instagram DMs were constantly being blown up by girls trying to hit on him left and right, but he payed them all no mind, he knew too well that those girls would only use him for his money and his body, they wouldn't actually love him.

That's what pained Louis the most, he still hadn't found a girl he wanted yet, a girl he could love for life, he was fast approaching the end of his high school career and had no one to share it with. Gloomily, he found a spot in the over crowded parking lot and headed into the school.

..... Time skip to lunchtime

Louis walked out of his last class before lunch and smiled. He had just aced a pop quiz on the greatest composers of classical music with flying colors, music was by far his favorite class, he loved being able to relax and just enjoy the beautiful sounds of music, especially in the middle of the school day.

"Damn, just when I thought you'd died and gone to hell, here you are to grace us with your presence dreadhead."  A voice declared from behind him. Louis turned and looked the blonde mullet head up and down. "You really are an annoying son of a bitch, Marlon, you know that right?" Louis said with a feigned annoyed eye roll, then he grinned as the two slapped their palms together and bump fists in their old secret handshake. "I'm about to go meet Brody and Violet in the lunch room. Supposedly today is chicken nugget day, so you know Violet had to be the first one in line." Marlon said with a chuckle, a chuckle which Louis returned, of course Violet was gonna get her nugget fix ASAP. "Alright" Louis replied, "guess I'll be joining you guys too."

The two boys began walking towards the cafeteria, and Louis began to notice the familiar smell of the lunchroom, as well as the racket produced by hundreds of teenagers eating and talking in their cliques. The place smelled of sweat, cheap perfume from the girls, and deep fried cafeteria chicken nuggets, though, Louis was certain that what ever substance was inside the fried balls of grease was definitely not chicken.

"Hey, you two meatheads!" A voice called out as they entered the cafeteria, "over here!" The boys turned promptly and saw Brody sitting at a table over in the corner, her dark red hair falling in waves down behind her shoulders. "About time you guys showed up, Violets getting us the food now."

"S-sorry I'm late, I ha-had....". Marlon stuttered, his face turning beet red.

"What? Just spit it out." Brody said with concern, her eyes taking in Marlons beet red face.

"He had to come find me." Louis explained, finishing Marlons sentence for him. He grinned internally to himself as he thought about Marlons embarrassment. Louis knew all too well that Marlon had a crush on Brody, but he was too scared too make a move, which was odd considering he was the quarterback for the football team. Team leaders aren't usually cowards but he certainly was. As far as Louis could tell, Brody wasn't taking the hint.

"Hey bros! Got us some lunch!" A voice said from behind them suddenly, Louis, Marlon and Brody all turned around to see Violet walking toward them, her slender frame trying to support the weight of 3 giant trays, each one piled high with at least 50 chicken nuggets each. Louis swore he could see the grease literally dripping off of them. "I'll never understand how you can eat that many chicken nuggets and still look like a twig." Brody said, a sarcastic jealous tone in her voice. "Meanwhile my fat ass just gained 50 pounds just looking at that."
"Hey at least you have an ass." Violet fired back, "I keep trying to gain enough weight to have one and I can't. Minnie said she'll break up with me if I don't acquire one soon. She said it's no fun having to eat a non existing ass."

"Aaannnndddd there goes everyone's appetite in here." Louis said, fighting the urge to bust out laughing. "You did not have to say that right before we ate."

......

It was now after lunch, and Louis was walking into his math class, calculus, the only subject he wasn't good at. He had straight As otherwise, but in Calculus he was lucky to have the C he currently had, and that was largely because of the private tutor he had at home. He hated the class because of that, the C he had was holding him back from attending the prestigious music school he wanted to attend in college, he needed at least a 3.0 GPA, and because of the C in that class he was sittin at a 2.75. He needed to turn things around in this final semester or he wouldn't make it. He dejectedly took his seat in the back of the class room, taking out his notebook to begin writing the complex equations all ready written on the board by his teacher, Mr. Doug.

Knock Knock knock.

Louis continued writing his math problems, paying no mind to the fact that the assistant principal, Mrs. Christa, had entered the room.
She quietly spoke a few words to Mr. Doug, who turned to address the classroom. "Ladies and gentlemen if you don't mind, I'd like to ask that you put down your notebooks and pencils for a moment, as we have a new student joining us today, she just transferred here from Macon, Georgia, and her name is Clementine Everett, please give her the warmest of welcomes."
As soon as he finished speaking, he stepped back, and a girl walked into the room.

Louis could swear he felt his heart literally freeze in his chest, as he stared, mouth agape, at the girl, she was the most gorgeous girl he'd ever seen in his life. She was rather short, but not super short, around 5'3, with long, extremely curly hair tied in pigtails behind her head. She had gorgeous skin, with just the right tinge of tannish/caramel color to it, and divine golden honey colored eyes. Louis couldn't stop his eyes from taking in the rest of her, she was wearing a jean jacket and yoga pants. Which Louis noticed defined her curves very well.
She was absolutely stunning in every way imaginable. The girl quietly made her way to her seat, not making eye contact with anyone till she sat down, two seats away from Louis. Before Louis could try to say anything, Mr. Doug asked for everyone's attention again, and began the lesson.

.......

Louis could t believe his eyes, he had spent the entire class gawking at the girl the entire time, he didn't remember a single thing Mr. Doug had taught any of them. All he knew was he had to make sure he had the same class schedule as her, he wasn't going to be able to handle only being in one class with her all day. He then turned and headed straight for the principals office, ready to do what ever was necessary to make it happen.

.....

In the next part we will see just how much Louis needs Clem in his life, what will he do to ensure he can spend everyday in the same room as her? Find out in the next chapter!!
