Lucy's POV
"Luce wake up!" Natsu says while shaking me
"Natsu?" Opens my eyes and looks at him "Wait but I was just... It happened again"
"It's okay Luce. Tell me about it" Natsu says and puts me on his lap and hugs my waist "Only if you feel comfortable" He says and rests his head on my shoulder
"If it was anybody else I probably wouldn't feel comfortable telling them. Wait what happened today?"
"Luce you've been asleep for days. Wendy said that you should have woken up two days ago. I didn't want to wait any longer. You summoned too many spirits while we were held captive. You scared me when you didn't wake up" Natsu says and kisses my shoulder
"I couldn't let him continue to hurt you"
"I'm the one that should be protecting you. I failed. I'm sorry. I should have fought harder" Natsu says and plays with the bandages on his arm
"Natsu it's okay. I shouldn't have to rely on you to protect me. I need to become stronger to protect my friends and myself"
"I love you Luce" Natsu whispers and closes his eyes
"I love you too" Kisses his nose and sighs "So what did I miss while I was asleep?"
"Wendy broke her arm while on a mission with Romeo" Natsu says
"WHAT?!" Pushes his arms away and hops off the bed "Where is she?"
"At the guild" Natsu says and puts his scarf on my shoulders "Wrap up. It's cold out there. Oh and I got you this" He says and shows me a beautiful white faux fur coat "I know that you would never wear a coat with real fur"
"You remembered" Hugs him and kisses his cheek "Thank you"
"Of course I remembered" Natsu says and helps me put the coat on
"Natsu you know that I value our friendship right"
"Yeah I know but Luce please don't give me the 'I just want to be friends' speech" Natsu says with a hurt smile
"No dummy. I was just making sure that you knew"
"Oh well yeah I know" Natsu says and opens the door for me
"Thanks" Walks out and waits for him to close the door and put his hand on my waist
"Are you sure you want to wear that?" Natsu asks and points at my white crop top and black shorts
"Hell yeah. I look hot" Puts my hand on my Sabertooth guildmark and watches Natsu's gaze lower to my hand
"Are you going to keep it?" Natsu asks
"Yeah.." Does he want me to take it off?
"Luce before we head over to the guild I want to show you something" Natsu says and pulls me to the forest
"Where are we going?"
"It's a surprise" Natsu says
12 minutes later
"Natsu are we almost there?"
"We're here" Natsu says and stops in front of a beautiful reflective pond and a sakura tree
"Wow. Natsu this is... Beautiful. How did you find it?"
"I found it while I was looking for a place to train with Happy" Natsu says
"I'm at a loss for words" Walks around the pond and looks up at the tree Wow "We should have a picnic here some day" Walks back towards Natsu and twists my ankle and falls into the pond "Ow"
"Luce you're so clumsy" Natsu says and laughs as he picks me up
"My ankle hurts"
"I'll carry you to the guild" Natsu says and picks me up bridal style
"Thanks"
17 minutes later
"Hey Lu-chan" Levy says and waves at me
"Hey Levy-chan"
"Why are you wet?" Levy asks as Natsu puts me down on the table
"I fell into a pond. Oh no Natsu the coat you gave me is ruined"
"Don't worry about it Luce. I'll wash it later" Natsu says and smiles
"Come here Natsu" Spreads my legs and lets Natsu stand between them "Gimme a hug"
"Weirdo" Natsu says and hugs me as I wrap my legs around his waist and hug him
"This is my man"
"Ha okay Lu-chan" Levy says and pulls Gajeel up to us "This is my man"
"This is my man" Cana says and drinks from her barrel
"This is my man" Mira says and kisses Laxus
"This is my man" Evergreen says and squeezes Elfman's arm
"This is my boyfriend" Wendy mumbles and holds Romeo's hand
"I wish she was my woman" Gray whispers and looks at me as the guild quiets down and stares at him
"Damn" Romeo says and looks from the furious Natsu to the calm Gray
"Wait" Oh no Closes my eyes and bites my lip as memories from my time asleep come rushing back No Lucy those are fake memories
"Luce?" Natsu asks and squeezes my waist gently "You okay?"
"I wanna go home. Please take me home Natsu"
"Okay Luce" Natsu says and walks out of the guild with me still hanging onto him "Luce what's wrong?"
"I keep getting more of the fake memories"
"We can talk about it when we get home" Natsu says with a sigh
