Warnings: violence, mentions of death"My uncle is waiting for that money too long, Ross." you said, standing up from your chair, looking at him with a blank expression on your face. "Do you have 'em?" You opened the second drawer under your desk, deciding if you will use a gun or a knife.
"I-I, miss Y/l/n, I promise that I will give you-give you the money next week," he stuttered. You looked up at him, his eyes were clearly showing fear, nothing else. You smirked to yourself a little, still deciding what are you going to use. Cut or shoot? You grabbed the knife and a golden knuckle duster, which you put on your already white and bruised knuckles and closed the drawer. You slowly started walking to him, tracing your fingers over the sharp side of the knife. When you were just a few steps away, he spoke up again, "Please, this time I will give you the-"
You cut him off, by scoffing, "I gave you a second chance and that's it," you stepped closer to him, pointing the silver knife at him. "You ran out from chances, Ross." you placed the sharpened weapon on his shoulder, and started tracing there little circles. You stopped and looked on his face. His eyes were squeezed shut, his bottom lip trembling and no color in his face. You smiled, satisfied that he was scared because of you. You put the knife behind the hem of your black skirt and sighed. He opened his eyes and looked at you, searching for the knife.
"Y'know, I don't wanna disappoint my uncle, Ross," you said, as you hit him in the face. You smiled, when you saw that you made him bleed. You threw another punch, connecting his skin with the golden knuckle duster on your knuckles and made the blood from his nose drop on his clothes. When you were about to throw another punch, you heard knocks on the door. You rolled your eyes and sighed. "Yes?" you turned around, glaring at the person, who was entering the room. "What do you want Jonah?" you asked, raising your eyebrows at him. "I'm in a middle of something."
"Your uncle wants to talk with you, Y/n," he said, raising his eyebrows at you. You scoffed again and walked to the door, where was Jonah standing. "Finish it, tell him to bring twice more money next time, last chance. You know what to do." you whispered and he nodded. You left the room and Jonah closed the door behind you.
You walked down the halls of the mansion, heading to your uncle's office. Before you knocked, you wiped your hands on your skirt, trying to clean the crimson re blood from your knuckles.
You knocked on the wooden door and entered your uncle's office. He was sitting on his brown leather chair by his desk, looking out from the window, glass of scotch in his hand. When he heard your footsteps, he turned around and smiled. He took the cigarette from his mouth and put it into the ashtray. You exactly remembered the times, when you were just a little girl, who was afraid of a thunder. You knocked on the door everytime and entered the room without an invititaion, but your uncle never blamed you. He was always sitting behind that marble desk, papers everywhere, a glass of some alcohol in his hand and a pen in the other. He would always tell you some story and made you feel safe.
You also remembered the first time, when you started doing the family job. You were just 17 and you alredy beated up a grown man, because he tried to get away with your family's money. You were trained your whole life to become a mobster, it was a family tradition, which you couldn't deny and didn't want to."Jonah told me that you wanted to talk about something," you smiled and he stood up.
"Well, it's my niece's birthday," he grinned and hugged you. You chuckled and hugged him back. After a second he pulled away from the hug and pulled out some box from his pocket. He handed you the red velvet box.
"You didn't have to," you smiled and opened the box. In the box was a beautiful silver necklace with a hundreds of little diamonds on it. "That's beautiful, thank you," you smiled at him and tried on the necklace.
