Chapter 5
He finally realized he had the best..
Recap:
They said their goodbyes, so I locked the door and walked up the stairs to put Nathan down. Turning on the baby monitor and holding it while I went down stairs to check the doors and windows are locked. Finally after all the checking I went into the bathroom for a quick shower. Putting on my pjs was like yay I'm finally going to get some rest. I quickly checked on Nathan and made my way into my room. I sunk into my bed feeling relaxed and calm. I put the baby monitor onto the table next to the bed.
Once I had my head on the pillow, I instantly fell asleep. Tomorrow was going to be a different day, definitely with school.
:
So I'm standing in front of the mirror, staring at my purple pjs pants and looking at the time occasionally. 6:25. So much time had passed. I walked over to my wardrobe. Grabbed some leggings with a flowy skirt with a tight black long sleeve. Quickly running into the bathroom for a shower. The hot water felt so relaxing on my skin but I couldn't stay in here for long. I walked out of the shower feeling calm and nervous. Putting on some touch of make up. I slipped on my black flats and was already running into Nathan's room to give him a bath and pack his baby bag.
I was rushing around the house trying to get everything ready. I ran up stairs to get my notes and books. Then I was out of the house. Everything is so much more difficult with a baby. Putting Nathan in the baby site at first then the bags were thrown into the trunk. I stood there staring at the nice silver Audi A8 my parents got me for an early seventeen birthday present. My birthday is just a month and a half away. I was snapped out of my thoughts when I heard my phone start to ring.
" Hello?"
"Tiff, where are you?!"
"Good morning to you too Chris. I'm about to leave for the child care centre."
"Well, you better hurry okay! I'll see you at school then"
"By..."
What's up with Chris this morning, all moody and stuff. I hopped in the car and drove silently to the child care centre near my high school. Thank god the child care centre was only a 10 minute drive away. As I was approaching the centre, i felt like I was going to throw up. Knowing that I have to face the people at school and the teachers, just scares me.
Getting out of the car and grabbing Nathan who was smiling. He was started to crawl and everything but he has a long life ahead. With the bag and Nathan in my hands I went into the centre. As soon as I walked in I was greeted by Maggie, Nathan's favorite worker.
"Sweetie, I'm so sorry for your lost. I wish I was there for you but I wasn't. I'm just so sorry." She said softly.
"It's alright, Maggie. I'm fine, just trying to cope with everything trial that's coming my way. I guess I better be going now. I'll put him up at the usual time alright. Take care of him Maggie." I smiled
She gave me a sympathetic look, which I realized I would be getting all day.
"I will Tiffany, don't you worry Nathan and I are going to have a fun day. Aren't we Nathy?" smiling.
I waved goodbye and grabbed my iPhone to check the time. 8:19. Classes were going to start in 30 minutes. School is a perfect place where I can be me and help people out. I would get greeted and chatted to but now the events that have happened in my life would they act differently around me? Finding a parking spot was easy but I was trying to waste time so I wouldn't have to face people. Once I found a parking spot, I got out and grabbed my bad and books. As I was walking to the school building, I felt people just staring at me, burning holes into the back of my head. I felt my cheeks burn up with redness.
