Last Night

Last night we talked.

We asked each other questions

I told you about the time I lived in a big house

The time my parents would yell at each other

Until the early hours of the morning

Forgetting that their kids were in the next room

The time my mom "slipped on some ice"

The time I left my moms house in a cab

Because she was too drunk for us to stay

How I needed to start writing again

Because every time It down to write

I just want to rip the paper to pieces.

I told you about the time in my life when I would rather

End my life than face another day.

I cried last night.

You told me about your life,

How you went through a similar time in your life

You told me how you wish you were closer to your sister.

I told you that you needed to try.

You cried last night.

I haven't seen you cry since October.

You see me cry every day.

You say that you love how emotional I am

But I love the way you're emotional.

You don't cry very often.

I like that.
