"Again." At the command of the master's voice, the two ninjas pulled out their swords and began to simultaneously attack me. Ducking one of their swords as the sound of it sliced through the air, I pulled the sword out of my back and blocked the other ninja's attack, the sound of our blades clashing echoed throughout the room. Knocking the sword out of his hand, I quickly jabbed him in the throat catching him off guard and caught the previous ninja, throwing him into his partner. As they both hit the ground hard I looked up at my sensei. "You have improved, well done. Take a rest for the day and clear your mind. We shall begin once more tomorrow." Sighing softly, I sheathed my sword and left the room. As I reached outside I felt the cold wind brush across my face but after months of living here, my body had become accustomed to the cold, leaving me unphased. As I sighed, my mind drifted to the night I left......8 months earlier..... leaving the note on her coffee table, I slowly left the room. Making myself untraceable I disappeared out of the room and teleported downstairs across the street. Slowly walking down the street I left the note lying on the table waiting for her.Dear Hailey,

I'm sorry but you was wrong. It didn't work out. Every time I try, I fail. People get hurt or they try to hurt me. Some try and believe in me but I know i'll only fail them. I can't be a hero. I'll never be good enough. And I've learned to accept that. Goodbye, maybe I'll see you in the future. I know how much you wanted to visit the underworld and all. I'll take you if we ever meet again. -Jake

Heading down the street I spotted Saraya's building but I couldn't go. She'd try to convince me. Try to make me stay. It would only make it worse. Continuing to walk, I passed by her bidding and walked to the train station, catching a train to the airport. As I arrived I noticed a man waiting on me outside by the entrance. Silently pointing towards another direction, he guided me to a private jet. Once I climbed inside, I noticed Tyler waiting in expectation with a small smile of satisfaction on his face. "Now, your journey to a new life begins. Welcome." looking out the window I watched as the plane began to.--- hearing the sound of a branch breaking, I instantly snapped out of my thoughts. My senses on high alert, I became aware of my surroundings, searching for the cause of the disturbance.Suddenly, the linguistic and dialect teacher came out of the shadows, with a small smile on his face. "Ni de yishi gan you suo tisheng." (Your sense of awareness has improved.) He said as he walked towards me, his face beginning to revert back to his normal emotionless appearance. "Xiexie nI, Tai xu dashi." (Thank you Master Tai.) I replied as I bowed to him out of respect. "Nimen zhongguo, dan xuyao geng duo de gongzuo. Suizhe ni de fayin." (Your Chinese, however, needs more work. Along with your pronunciation.) He said, his disappointment and irritation flashing on his face. "That's because I'm better at Japanese." I muttered to myself out of annoyance. Leaving him behind, I headed farther and farther away until I came across the familiar rocks that were scattered across the ground, informing me that I had stepped into another dimension. Turning around, low and behold, the one person who could help me understand myself sat in front of me meditating. "Meditating as usual, Master Lee?" I asked as I watched him with steady eyes. Even though he was meditating, he was able to move faster than the blink of an eye. "No. I was waiting on you so that training can begin." He replied as he opened his eyes, slowly getting up. "Today is your final test to see if you can overcome the darkness within. If so, then we can move on to more..... interesting. meditations and powers. Are you ready to begin?" He said as he stood in a ready stance. "I am ready." I replied. "Begin." He then turned towards me and gave me a low dose of darkness. Instantly my body began to fee the familiar power, and resisted the urge to accept it within. Slowly, he began to increase the power and I managed to handle the challenge with even breaths. But then, it began to flicker. Memories. Fragmented sentences. Quotes. Images of loved ones dying. The image of my ex girlfriend dying in my arms. 'Don't die on me!!" I screamed in my memory. Moments when I tried to be the good guy but was spit on. ' I've never cared like that. What is your problem anyways? Just leave.' The memories of failing Heather and Bella giving up when they trusted me. The darkness began to seep into my soul making my thoughts become dark and angry. 'You're so stupid. Drink bleach.' Suddenly I began to draw on the darkness around me. 'You failed me. You failed us all and did nothing about it.' As the words repeatedly echoed in my head, I felt fire ignite around me. 'You left me Jake. Why would you do this to me?' My eyes snapped open, instantaneously creating a circle of fire around me subconsciously. "I have to go Master Lee. They need me. I have to make it right!" I said urgently as I quieted down the flames and released the shadows and darkness within me. "You....you just saw what happened. You don't have full control of your powers yet! Your emotion can be your downfall! Don't leave the only safe haven you have. We are your family now." He shouted. "You know. You sound just like Tyler. And yet where is he now. Probably nowhere to be found. Go find someone else instead." I said as I began to step out of the dimension.
