A shadow of a cat padded silently through the bushes, every paw-step light and deliberate. They kept their eyes fixed on her prey. Ashfur had to die.

The secret couldn't get out. Ashfur couldn't say a word. I will make sure of it.

Ashfur could hear the rustling in the bushes behind him, and by the time he realized, it would be too late.

Carefully, slowly....

And then, leap! Ashfur collapsed under the mysterious cat's paws.

Claws tore through thin skin, and shimmering drops of crimson slid in rivers down soft, gray fur.

With a small splash, the evidence was gone. A soggy lump of fur drifted down the river. Blood spilled into the water, tainting the water a deep maroon shade.

The shadowy cat slipped away into the woods. It's time for me to go. There's much more to be done. My job is not complete until everyone is pure.
