_____________

Shouji was miserable.

Well, perhaps miserable was to strong of a word. But he definitely wasn't happy.

Shouji sighed, slouching down in his office chair, and rubbing his free hands into his eyes.

He tapped the pen he had loosely gripped, on his desk as he gave his paperwork a baleful stare.

Mindlessly swiveling the office chair back and forth, Shouji mulled over the things that were missing in his life.

Shouji was a hero, and an alpha. A good alpha, he kept to himself, he took his suppressants, never stared at anyone's necks.

Due to those reasons he had a good standing with his co-workers.

But it didn't help him with the more personal side of his life.

The side that wanted a mate, and children.

The grip he had on his pen, and the arm rests of the chair tightened considerably.

Why, why couldn't he find someone?!

Shouji let out a deep breath, grumbling to himself when he noticed the ink dripping from his hand onto his desk.

Quickly standing up, before the ink could stain his paperwork, he made his way to the bathroom. Still sore from his depressing thoughts.

Shouji wiped his hand off, and stared at his reflection for a moment, and sighed.

He shouldn't be so self pitying.

But ever since Shouji was young, he's wanted a big family, and that desire only grew once he presented as an alpha.

He grew up alone. No siblings to hang out with, and all his cousins were far younger than himself or lived to far away to become close.

With these thoughts plaguing him, Shouji made his way down stairs. Now all to aware of how quiet and empty his house was.

He laid down on the couch, no longer caring about his paper work. And let his thoughts that he'd been ignoring, run free.

Three bedrooms, plus his study. Two and a half bathrooms. A large living room, and decent sized kitchen.

A house that would never be full of the warmth, and love he so desperately craved.

A house bought with a family in mind.

The knot in Shoujis stomach twisted painfully.

A family that, with Shoujis luck, would never be.

No.

Shouji stood up from his place on the sofa, a strong sense of determination spreading in his chest.

He wasn't going to let that happen. He was going to have his family.

Shouji quickly made his way back into his study, he grabbed a few fresh sheets of paper, and pushed his paperwork to the side, this was more important at the moment.

Shouji wanted his mate to be one of his previous classmates, they were all close, they've been through a lot together.

He ruled out the betas, he wanted a bond with his mate, it was as close and committed as two people could get.

Soon Shouji had a list of all his omega classmates, he would have to do a tad bit of stalking to determine who would be a good potential oma, and mate.

Shouji is sure they won't mind, it's for their future after all.

Shouji would wait until the next gathering with his friends, and decide there.

But that was fine with him, he's waited this long. A little while longer won't hurt him.

Deciding he needed his rest he went upstairs to head to bed.

All paperwork, and previous thoughts of loneliness forgotten.

Soon he wouldn't be alone, Shouji could already hear little feet running around the halls.

With that he fell asleep with a floating heart, and warm smile.

Soon.
