kenzie tottered through the bustling crowd and glass-front stores, hitching her glasses higher upon her nose, while simultaneously adjusting the glossy black bag on her shoulder. clad in a plain white shirt and straight leg modest black pants, the petite girls' eyes averted towards the tall glass adorned skyscraper, lowering her eyes down eventually, and reading the big bold letters.
deciding that she had finally arrived at her destination, the brunette anxiously trudged into the posh building, and a cool gust of air hit her as she ventured forward. she scrunched her button nose up in wonder, mulling over which step to take in the abyss of slick men and women, with crisply ironed shirts and flawless rhythm of work.
inhaling deeply, she aimed her tread towards a modern and minimalist desk, with a woman, a replica of the resplendent women already present. kenzie awkwardly hovered over the desk, and the woman looked up, her flashy badge coming into the fiddling wreck's vision. 'annie leblanc,' mackenzie silently read. ms.annie cleared her throat, grabbing the dazed brunettes attention. giving her a tight, closed smile, her glossy lips slightly tilting upwards at the corners, she asked, "welcome to lueders enterprise, how may i help you?"
mackenzie quietly stood, gaping, until she shook back into her senses in a second. "yeah, h-hi, i have a j-job interview with ms. rumfallo, right now a-at 9:30?" mackenzie stammered, mortified by her own speech.
it seemed as though annie, however, hadn't noticed. "come this way, mackenzie." annie instructed.
mackenzie gulped, and nodded, tracing annie's footsteps with her own. after a short walk, and a trip up the carpeted elevator, they reached another glass door. this one, similar to the others, yet had a more fancy look to it. annie pointed a light pink, long and manicured nail towards a set of white arm-chairs, "wait here till ms. rumfallo calls you, it won't be more than five minutes."
nodding an affirmation, the plain girl warily smiled, and annie returned the favour, before sauntering back into the elevator.
mackenzie slumped in her seat, until the door bust open suddenly, and mackenzie shot up straight. "
"mackenzie ziegler, you may now come in."
