♕ CHAPTER TEN♕
↦ SKYLAR'S P.O.V ↤
"And the winner of the International Dance Competion- Rising Stars in Duet Category is Skylar and Stacy of the Bella Frays Dance Company! Put your hands together for these amazing girls who for the sixth year in a row have won the duet category for every age group they have entered in over the years!" the commentator said with a burst of euthusiam.
The crowd went completely wild. Cheering, whistling, clapping and shouts of happiness was all that could be heard. Photographers snapped pictures, causing flashes of light to come from the huge audience.
"We won Skylar! We won! Yes!" Stacy screamed, wrapping her arms around me in a excited hug.
"Oh gosh, I cant believe! We won, again!" I screamed, returning her excited hug.
"Skylar and Stacy may you come up on stage and accept your trophy from the President of the International Dance Competion Rising Stars, Mrs. Wallace."
Hand in hand, Stacy and I walked on stage, great smiles on out faces. Photograpers who wanted a close up shot, tried to push their way through the swarm to get a photo of us as we passed.
"Congratulations girls! You deserve this and I must say I am not surprised that you have won again at all. You two always stood out from the hundreds of out dancing duos you are in this competion category with. How do you two, for six years, come out on top and usually by an enormous amount of points seperating you from second place." Mrs. Wallace said, handing me the trophy.
I looked at Stacy, she was the one who always answered these sorts of questions. I was the shy one between the two of us.
"Well, dedication and extreme hard work. When you have your heart and soul into dancing like we both do, then you cant say away from it. It is a part of us. Relentless hours in the studio and waking up in the early hours of the morning to exercise has helped us. We set our mind to accomplish what we have to and work towards it. It is no always easy but you have to remember it is what you want." Stacy said confidently.
"Very well said, Stacy. Congratulations for another winning streak." Mrs.Wallace said, beaming at us kindly.
"Thank you." Stacy said with a smile on her face.
We were leaving the stage as reporters started to push and shout out to us asking for interviews.
"Dynamic duo! Dynamic duo! Dynamic duo!" the crowed cheered.
"Skylar..." Ariel said, snapping her fingers in my face.
"Huh?" I said as I drifted back into reality.
"I was calling to you for the last couple minutes. You zoned out on me." Ariel said, her voice tinted with concern.
Blinking a few times, I tore my gaze away from 'The Dancing Troupe' sign up booth amd looked at Ariel again.
"I-I good." I said, scratching my cheek.
"It's obvious you're interested. You should go sign up Sky." Areil said, laying a hand of my shoulder.
"Huh, what?" I said, my eyes widening.
"You were just staring at that sign up booth over there for the longest while when I was desprately trying to bring you out of your daydream." she said, pointing to 'The Dancing Troupe' booth.
